1. Why you were looking forward to going to the ground (or not as the case may be): As I am a Reading fan it wasn't a
very long trip along to Bristol. I was looking forward to it as it
was my very first trip to the ground and my only second away game
ever.
2.
How easy was your journey/finding the ground/car
parking?
It
didn't take long at all to get to Ashton Gate, but finding the
ground proved difficult at first, but the coach driver managed
it. We got dropped off outside the ground so we didn't need any parking.
3.
What you did before the game pub/chippy.... home fans
friendly?
We
went straight into the ground as it was unreserved seating and we wanted a
decent seat. We just watched the players warm up and the atmosphere our
fans had was great before the game started even an hour before kick off.
4.
What you thought on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then
other sides of the ground?
I
had seen the ground from the outside before and looked like a very old
style ground and when we got into the ground I wasn't impressed as
there was only one entrance/exit and the seats didn't have any backs
so that was very annoying. But I did like the look of the ground and the
away end did lend itself in creating a great
atmosphere.
5. Comment on the
game itself, atmosphere, stewards, pies, toilets etc..
The game ended
as 1-1 and it was a very interesting game. The atmosphere was great
and added a lot of excitement to the game and the stewards seemed relaxed
and they let most of our fans stand up.
6. Comment on getting
away from the ground after the game:
We got away from the
ground very quickly in about 10 mins wasn't much traffic at all and the
journey home seemed very quick.
7. Summary of overall
thoughts of the day out:
I was very pleased
with my day out as it was a good game and when the Reading players came to
celebrate the goal I got bundled on as I was at the front and got
squashed but managed to get on tv at the same time so that was great! The
stadium its self was actually alright great for atmosphere and I
would visit the stadium again.
