Match Result: Draw
Look at what you want, there simply isn't much that separates Tunisia and Algeria. Both teams are unbeaten in their last 10 albeit Tunisia have drawn two compared to Algeria's three in that time. The head to head record across the last five reads as two wins a piece and one draw and even the FIFA rankings barely puts any difference between the two; in fact, the CAF rankings only one team – Nigeria – prevents them from being next to one another with Tunisia having the edge. With all that thought through, we're playing it straight down the line; draw.
Both teams to score: Yes
Our first prediction mentioned an even head-to-head record over the last five; two of those games saw both Tunisia and Algeria find the net and those two games both came in the last three. Both teams finding the net is something that the two nations' recent form leans to as well. Tunisia's games have seen three of the last five end with both sides notching whilst Algeria's record is the same (three in five); for Algeria though, their away form has seen their last three away matches end in that fashion.
Over/under goals: Over 2.5
We've already touched on recent form to back up our claim that both teams will score and it's a similar approach here. We'll begin with those last three Algeria away games we've mentioned; all of them have broken the 2.5 mark with a total of 14 goals scored in those three matches. Tunisia's previous five home games have seen three end north of two goals as well with an average of 2.6 per game.
Tunisia vs Algeria: Meet the teams
Tunisia
Tunisia are unbeaten in 12 matches and have won five on the spin at home; there have been a few draws in that time though, which is why we've made the predictions we have. The Tunisian's are a decent side though with a good balance between solidity and flair. Ellyes Skhiri is the main man in the middle of the park whilst Wahbi Khazri is always a threat. Another name to watch is Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri.
Algeria
Tunisia might be in good form at home but Algeria will not be a pushover; they're unbeaten on the road in five. The Algerian's will definitely pose a threat going forwards with several players known to Premier League fans in their side. Riyad Mahrez is the biggest name by a distance but the likes of West Ham man Said Benrahma and former Leicester Islam Slimani can both be a handful on their day.
