Aston Villa vs Man Utd: Top free betting tips

Aston Villa are set to face Man Utd in the Premier League on Sunday, 11 February in a match that will have huge implications in the race for the top four. Aston Villa's form has dipped in recent weeks which has allowed Man Utd to re-enter the race following the return of several important players. Despite that, our Aston Villa vs Man Utd prediction is for a score draw as United's away record against top teams is too poor to ignore.

Match result prediction: Draw

If this match was played a month ago then we would have predicted a comfortable win for Aston Villa but things have changed in recent weeks. Villa have only won two of their last six league matches (against Burnley and Sheffield United) while Man Utd have won five of their last seven matches in all competitions. The Reds are the form team coming here, but they are yet to win a match against a team inside the top six away from under Ten Hag which pushes us towards the draw.

Anytime goalscorer prediction: Rasmus Hojlund

Rasmus Hojlund broke his Premier League duck against Aston Villa when these two sides met at Old Trafford in December and the Norweigan hasn't looked back since. He has now scored in four consecutive Premier League matches (the youngest player ever to do so) and is United's top scorer in all competitions with ten goals to his name. We are backing him to continue his rich vein of form with another goal at Villa Park on Sunday.

Correct score prediction: Aston Villa 1-1 Man Utd

If Lisandro Martinez hadn't injured himself against West Ham last time out then we perhaps would have leaned towards an away win here but the Argentinian's absence is certainly a blow for the Reds. Villa need a result to keep themselves on track in the race for European football and Emery being the tactician he is should get them it.

Aston Villa were well beaten by Chelsea in the FA Cup on Wednesday night which would result in Emery making several changes to his starting eleven here. Emery will still be without Mings, Konsa, Duran and Buendia at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon but he could welcome back Lucas Digne and Pau Torres from injury which would be a huge boost. Moussa Diaby and Jacob Ramsey are two other players who could come into the team to freshen it up.

Martinez – Cash, Carlos, Torres, Digne – McGinn, Luiz – Diaby, Ramsey, Bailey – Watkins
