Leicester City to win the FA Cup
The Foxes have forever been the bridesmaid and never the bride when it comes to the FA Cup, losing each of the four previous finals they have reached over the years. However, the semi-final draw has been kind to them this season as Brendon Rodgers' men are the favourites to reach the final when they take on Southampton on Sunday. Leicester beat Southampton 2-0 when the pair locked horns in January and have been really impressive in the Premier League this season, currently sitting 3rd in the table behind the two Manchester clubs. If the Foxes do reach the final of the FA Cup as predicted then they prove tough opposition for either Chelsea or Man City.
Chelsea vs Man City – Both Teams to Score
Both teams have scored in each of the last three meetings between these two clubs and we're backing both Chelsea and Man City to find the back of the net on Saturday as well. Two of Chelsea's last four fixtures have seen both teams score and Tuchel's men have lost one and won one of those games. Man City's last two outings have also seen both teams score and that stats could increase if their game against Dortmund in the Champions League also produces goals at both ends of the pitch.
Leicester City vs Southampton – Over 2.5 Goals
Four of the last six meetings between Leicester and Southampton have produced over 2.5 goals, including that amazing 9-0 win the Foxes inflicted on the Saints back in 2019. Four of Leicester's last six outings in all competitions have produced over 2.5 goals, while each of Southampton's last five outings in league and cup have also featured at least three goals.
FA Cup predictions – a detailed overview
It’s one thing to just reveal a bunch of FA Cup betting tips, but we’d like to also share why we came up with these tips and why we feel that these outright markets are good to go for. Just check out the details below.
Outright winner
As you may have guessed, when you back the outright winner for any event, you are betting that this team will go on to be crowned champions. Based on last year's event, we have a feeling that two teams are in with an excellent shot – Arsenal and Manchester City. Since Arsenal managed to win last year, and with the fact that they have the most FA Cup trophies in their cabinet of any other team, it’s always a good shout to go for Arsenal. But we also have a feeling that Pep Guardiola will be gunning for some silverware in this one too. With Manchester City displaying some awesome form right now in all competitions, this is why we are suggesting two separate outright bets to go for.
Top goalscorer
Just like the outright winner market, here you are picking the player that will have scored the most goals when all is said and done. And on that note, we believe this player could be Aubameyang. Although he isn’t scoring goals prolifically in the Premier League, there is no reason why he can’t turn up the heat when it comes to the FA Cup.
Alternative FA Cup wagers to place
- Individual moneyline games
If you don’t want to wait until the final whistle is blown to see whether you’ve won your bet, then you can always bet on single games. Since the FA Cup consists of so many rounds, you will not be short on options for this form of wagering.
- Single-round accumulator
On the subject of the number of games being played, a lot of punters like to make an accumulator bet for one single round. Here you can combine as many games as you wish, and since the FA Cup is a bit of a graveyard event for big teams, you could shoot for some upsets in the hope of decent returns.

The idea of betting on the English FA Cup is not too different compared to the betting on Premier League and Champions League. As one of the popular cup competitions in the world, many sportsbooks to provide an option to place a wager on the FA Cup well ahead in advance. For example, the winner outright market is likely to be available from top sportsbooks even when the preliminary rounds are just starting. This is a huge difference considering that the tournament this not see the entry of top teams until the third round, which kicks off in January.
Aside from the outright winner market, punters also have the option of placing a wager on the top scorer. This can be one of the tougher markets to predict in the FA Cup, as the top teams do not get into the competition until the third round. A player from a lower ranked team which manages to do multiple FA Cup upsets and reach the latter stages of the competition might have a limited number of matches to make a major impact on the top scorer table. Even then, Olivier Giroud and Sergio Aguero have had a major impact on the FA Cup in the last decade. Aguero has 20 FA Cup goals in the last nine seasons, while Giroud is not far behind with 16 during the same period.

English FA Cup – Oldest and Revered Cup Competition
The English FA Cup has an incredible history and tradition. This knockout competition began in 1871 and it features just over 700 teams taking part in different stages. Arsenal are the most successful team in this competition with 14 titles to their name. Even though there are many knockout competitions in football, the FA Cup takes up a special precedence since it provides an opportunity for low ranking opposition to have the big day out against a top team and still come out with a positive result. Apart from being able to bet on matches, punters will also get the option of placing wagers on replays the original fixture ends in a draw.
