Brentford vs Chelsea: Top free betting tips

Brentford are set to face Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday, 2 March with both teams desperate for a win. The Bees are just two places above the relegation zone after five losses in their last six games while Chelsea need a victory for morale after their crushing Carabao Cup final defeat last weekend. Which team will prevail at the Gtech Community Stadium? Check out our Brentford vs Chelsea prediction below.

Match result prediction: Draw

It may sound crazy but Brentford need to start learning how to draw football matches. Since the 1st of October, they haven't drawn a match in the Premier League but they have lost seven matches by one goal. They need to accept that at this stage of the season, picking up one point is better than risking it all for three. Chelsea, meanwhile, would take anything other than a defeat given their recent form and poor record against Brentford.

Anytime goalscorer prediction: Neil Maupay

January 2024 may have marked the long-awaited return of Neil Maupay from suspension but it's been his strike partner, Neil Maupay, who has grabbed all the headlines. Maupay has scored six Premier League goals since the turn of the year which included a stretch of five consecutive games where the Frenchman got himself on the scoresheet. We are backing Maupay to score again on Saturday against a Chelsea defence that just shipped two to a Championship side.

Correct score prediction: Brentford 1-1 Chelsea

Chelsea have only managed to beat Brentford once since the Bees were promoted in 2021 and we think that figure will still be one after the weekend. Brentford have had more rest since their last fixture and should be well up for this at home in a West London derby.

Brentford vs Chelsea team news

Brentford predicted lineup vs Chelsea

Thomas Frank is no closer to have any of his injured players available for selection again which means he goes into this one with six players unavailable. Aaron Hickey, Ethan Pinnock, Josh Dasilva, Kevin Schade, Rico Henry and Bryan Mbuemo are all unavailable with the latter perhaps the biggest blow. Mbuemo has scored twice in his last two appearances against Chelsea and the Bees miss his blistering pace on the counterattack.

Flekken – Lewis-Potter, Mee, Collins, Ajer, Reguilon – Onyeka, Jensen – Wissa – Maupay, Toney

Chelsea predicted lineup vs Man City

Chelse have had to endure 210 minutes of football over the past seven days which means there will be plenty of tired legs in the squad. Additionally, they are missing nine players for the match on Saturday – Silva, Nkunku, Lavia, James, Fofana, Ugochukwu, Cucurella, Chukwuemeka and Badiashile. Conor Gallagher and Cole Palmer should both return to the starting eleven after starting the match against Leeds on the bench.

Petrovic – Gusto, Disasi, Colwill, Chilwell  – Fernandez, Caicedo, Gallagher – Sterling, Jackson, Palmer

Brentford vs Chelsea: What the fans think

Brentford fans expect something from the match

Chelsea fans are far from confident

How far will Chelsea fans travel to the Gtech Community Stadium?

Chelsea fans won't have far to travel at all on Saturday as this match is a West London derby. For fans who live in the local area, they may even be able to walk to the stadium but for those further away, they will need get a train to the Kew Bridge station and then walk to the ground. Driving around West London is hectic at the best of times so should be avoided if possible on matchday. Alternatively, there are also bus services that can take you to the stadium from around London.

Brentford vs Chelsea: Tickets

Brentford have sold out all of their tickets for the match against Chelsea with their supporters well aware of how important the game is for the club. There are, however, some hospitality packages still available which can be purchased directly through the club. Chelsea were given an away allocation of 1,725 tickets and all of these have been sold to eligible season ticket holders.
