Everton vs Chelsea: Top free betting tips

Everton take on Chelsea at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon with the Toffees full of confidence after their impressive 3-0 win against Newcastle on Thursday night. On the back of that, our Everton vs Chelsea prediction is for another testing afternoon for Chelsea and another positive result for Sean Dyche's side.

Match result prediction: Draw

Everton have been excellent recently and if it wasn't for their ten-point deduction then they would be comfortably inside the top half of the Premier League table with one eye on Europe. The Toffess have won five of their last seven matches in all competitions and were relatively unlucky in the one game they lost in that period. Chelsea, meanwhile, continue to stutter and were poor at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Total goals prediction: Over 2.5 goals

Despite Sean Dyche having a reputation for being a “boring” football manager, Everton have been involved in some high-scoring matches lately. They've scored three goals three times in their last six matches and their xg is one of the highest in the league. Chelsea are always a knocking bet for goals, too, with their last five league matches all seeing more than two goals.

Correct score prediction: Everton 2-2 Chelsea

Chelsea always seem to be involved in end-to-end matches while Everton have shown in recent weeks that they are more than comfortable in these types of fixtures. The last time the two sides played each other, the match finished 2-2 and we anticipate a similar result here between two teams who will throw caution at the wind to get the three points.

Everton vs Chelsea team news

Everton predicted line-up vs Chelsea

James Garner missed the win over Newcastle with an illness and remains a doubt for this fixture. Dyche recalled Seamus Coleman in Garner's place but after a seven-month layoff, he is unlikely to play twice in four days so Nathan Patterson should start at right-back if Garner is too ill to play. The rest of the teams should pick itself after such a performance midweek, especially with Onana, Gomes and Dele all injured.

Pickford – Garner, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko; Young, Gueye, Doucoure, McNeil – Harrison, Calvert-Lewin

Chelsea predicted lineup vs Everton

Chelsea missed the energy of Conor Gallagher at Old Trafford on Wednesday night but the England midfielder will return to the lineup against Everton after serving his suspension. There is also a chance that Romeo Lavia and Christopher Nkunku are involved in some capacity with the pair back in full training. Marc Cucurella will likely sit this one out after being given the run around by Alejandro Garnacho at Old Trafford.

Sanchez – James, Silva, Disasi, Colwill – Caicedo, Fernandez, Gallagher – Sterling, Jackson, Palmer
