Hibs to Win

At the culmination of the regular season, Hibs were in third place behind perennial title contenders Randers and Celtic. They can finish the season on a high note as they take on the struggling Dundee United for a place in the Scottish Cup final. With momentum and a settled squad in their ranks, Jack Ross and his men should make little work of their rivals.

Total Goals: Under 2.5

The last three successive meetings between Dundee United and Hibernian have seen less than three goals. However, it was after their meeting in the Scottish Cup early last year that the trend has been set. A cup final appearance will mean a lot to both sides, for financial and sporting reasons. Expect them to be cautious in their approach to ensure the result goes their way. Kevin Nisbet has done his job amicably as the frontman and should add to his tally of 12 against Dundee.

Both Teams to Score: No

In seven of their last eight appearances Dundee have been involved in, only one side has troubled the scorers. While Hibs are the more established of the two sides, they have allowed their rivals to get past their backline and on the scoreboard. Some of those fears will be allayed by Dundee's poor form and the fact the hosts have only managed to score against them once in four meetings at Hampden Park.

Dundee Utd vs Hibs: Team News and Match Preview

Dundee United

The Terrors were promoted from the Scottish Championship last season and can found themselves in the second division if they do not arrest their slide in the Relegation Group. To their credit, Dundee finished just outside the Championship Group and have a good account of their abilities on their return. Experienced midfielder Nicholas Clark has chipped in with goals and assists during the regular season and will be counted on to deliver against their rivals on Saturday night.

Hibernian FC

The coronavirus marred 2019/20 campaign saw Hibs finish in seventh place. They have bounced back from their poor showings last campaign and were the best side in Scottish football not named Celtic or Rangers. The Edinborough based entity has ridden on the coattails of Kevin Nisbet and Martin Boyle. The two forwards notched 12 and 11 goals respectively, whilst providing a combined 7 assists. The duo will be looking to add to their tally for the 2020/21 campaign against the struggling Dundee.
