Tottenham vs Brentford: Top free betting tips

Tottenham face Brentford on Wednesday, 31 January in a replay of both side’s opening games of the season. On that occasion, Brentford managed to secure a 2-2 draw against the Lilywhite but their fortunes have changed ever since.

Can the Bees produce their best form at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to move clear of the drop zone or will Spurs produce the goods to stay inside the top four? Our Tottenham vs Brentford prediction is for a home win with Spurs welcoming key players back at the right part of the season.

Match result prediction: Tottenham

Tottenham were out of sorts on Friday night when Man City knocked them out of the FA Cup and Ange Postecoglou will be demanding a response. For the first time all season, Spurs looked out of ideas and more concerned with defending on the edge of their own box as opposed to attacking from all angles. We expect a response on Sunday against a side that have the fourth-worst away record in the league.

Both team to score prediction: Yes

A few weeks ago, we would have leaned towards no on this market but the return of Ivan Toney really is a game-changer for Brentford and their attacking output. Toney scored on his long-awaited return last weekend in the club’s 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest and they will certainly now have more of a threat than they previously would have had at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Correct score prediction: Tottenham 3-1 Burnley

Tottenham are in good league form at the minute – four wins, one draw and one loss in their last six matches. They will still privately have their eyes on Liverpool in top spot but the main aim will be to secure a top four finish and we expect them to get a win on Wednesday which will help them towards doing exactly that.
