Man City vs Chelsea: Top free betting tips

Man City are set to face Chelsea on Saturday, 17 February in a match that will be a must-watch event if it is anything like the reverse fixture from earlier in the season. Man City are flying at the moment and need a win to stay hot on the tails of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League while Chelsea will just be hoping to put in a solid performance ahead of the Carabao Cup final next weekend. Check out our Man City vs Chelsea prediction below.

Match handicap prediction: Man City -1

Man City are currently in the middle of an eleven-match winning streak that stretches back to the Club World Cup in December. Out of those eleven wins, nine of them have been by a margin of two goals or more which shows just how dominant they have been lately. Chelsea are a team who play far openly, so there will be plenty of spaces for City to exploit particularly with Kevin de Bruyne and Erling Haaland on the pitch.

Anytime goalscorer prediction: Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland isn't quite scoring at the same rate he was last season but the Norweigan superstar is still averaging better than a goal every other game. Last weekend, he scored twice as City downed Everton at the Etihad Stadium and we are backing him to find the back of the net at least once on Saturday evening. Haaland scored twice in the 4-4 draw the two teams played in earlier this season and will enjoy the space that Chelsea leave behind their defence.

Correct score prediction: Man City 3-1 Chelsea

Earlier in the season, eight goals were scored when they met at Stamford Bridge and although we don't think there will be as many as that this time around, we do think City will enjoy themselves in front of their home fans at the Etihad Stadium.

Man City will be without four first team players for the match against Chelsea at the weekend. Mateo Kovacic and Sergio Gomes are also unavailable while Guardiola revealed in his pre-match press conference that Bernardo Silva is a doubt after picking up a knock in training.

Chelsea predicted lineup vs Man City

Chelsea have a few more injury problems than their opponents with Thiago Silva now a serious doubt after going off against Crystal Palace with a groin injury. Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana, Marc Cucurella, Reece James, Robert Sanchez, Lesley Ugochukwu and Romeo Lavia are all also unavailable. In better news, Levi Colwill could return to partner Axel Disasi at the back which would soften the blow of losing Silva.

Petrovic – Gusto, Disasi, Colwill, Chilwell  – Fernandez, Caicedo, Gallagher – Sterling, Jackson, Palmer
