Brighton vs Everton: Top free betting tips
Brighton are set to face Everton at the Amex Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday, 24 February. The home side are still in the hunt for European qualification for next season so a win here would help towards that while Everton are still in the thick of a relegation battle due to their ten-point deduction earlier in the season. Who will come out on top on the South Coast on Saturday? Check out our Brighton vs Everton prediction below.
Match result prediction: Draw
Everton and Brighton have an interesting recent history with both teams enjoying large wins over the other last season. Earlier this season, they played out a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park and we envisage a similar result on Saturday at the Amex Stadium. The Toffees have drawn three of their last four Premier League fixtures while Brighton have drawn more games this season than any other Premier League club.
Total goals prediction: Over 2.5 goals
Brighton have been involved in some high-scoring games in recent weeks and with the match on Saturday set to be played in front of a packed Amex Stadium, we are anticipating more entertainment. Six out of the Seagull's last seven matches have covered this market with the returns of Adingra and Mitoma boosting their attacking output. Everton have been struggling for goals of late but they did score five goals in this fixture last season.
Correct score prediction: Brighton 2-2 Everton
We anticipate a score draw on Saturday between two teams who will give everything for the three points. Brighton's defensive fragility has been exposed a couple of times by Everton's Abdoulaye Doucoure and with the midfielder now fit again, we can see him causing further problems for them this weekend. At the other end of the pitch, Simon Adingra will look to pick up where he left off last time.
Brighton vs Everton team news
Brighton predicted lineup vs Everton
Brighton are still without the same five players this weekend as they were for the match against Sheffield last week. Joao Pedro (thigh), Julio Enciso (knee), Solly March (knee), James Milner (thigh), and Jack Hinshelwood (foot) will all be unavailable for selection which means De Zerbi could pick the same eleven once again. The Seagulls were brilliant in the 5-0 demolition of Sheffield United so changing the team or system would be a brave call.
Verbruggen – Lamptey, Van Hecke, Dunk, Estupinan – Gross, Gilmour – Adingra, Buonanotte, Mitoma – Welbeck
Everton predicted lineup vs Brighton
Seamus Coleman is expected to be welcomed back by Sean Dyche this week after missing the game against Crystal Palace due to illness. Further changes to the Everton team could include the promotion of Onana to the starting lineup after the midfielder scored the winner off the bench on Monday night. However, Dele Alli, Andre Gomes and Arnaut Danjuma are all still unavailable with the former unlikely to play at all this season.
Pickford – Coleman, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko – Harrison, Garner, Onana, McNeil – Doucoure, Calvert-Lewin
