Fulham vs Arsenal: Top free betting tips

Fulham will take on Arsenal on Sunday 31 December with both teams licking their wounds after experiencing bruising defeats in their respective Christmas fixtures. With both sides on the look for a bounce-back win, this won't be easy for Arsenal and our Fulham vs Arsenal prediction is for more dropped points for the Gunners whose poor performances are perhaps now catching up with them.

Match result prediction: Draw

In many ways, Fulham's form over Christmas has come as more of a shock than Arsenal's. Marco Silva had his team playing some excellent stuff before Christmas and their recent home record stands at played four, won three which will be a concern for Mikel Arteta. The Spaniard's Arsenal team have been playing below par for some time now and they have won just one of their last four matches in all competitions. At 16/5, the draw represents fantastic value.

Total goals prediction: Over 2.5 goals

Matches at Craven Cottage this season have often been high-scoring affairs and with Arsenal in town, there is no reason to believe that will change on Sunday. 17 goals have been scored in Fulham's last four home Premier League matches while there have been 12 goals scored in Arsenals' last four away Premier League outings. Arteta needs his front line to click and fast – could that all come together here?

Correct score prediction: Fulham 2-2 Arsenal

Arsenal conceded two goals to West Ham last time out and that was at the Emirates Stadium. Fulham, have scored five goals on two occasions in the last month at Craven Cottage so will fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet a couple of times at least on Sunday. Arteta may need to loosen the shackles if he is to get the Gunners firing again and as a result, we could see a more open Arsenal on Sunday.

Fulham predicted lineup vs Arsenal

Marco Silva will be delighted that he is able to recall Raul Jimenez to the starting lineup on Sunday after the Mexican completed his red card suspension against Bournemouth. Silva could also have Willian and Tim Ream back from injury which would be a huge boost at both ends of the pitch but the speedy Adama Traore will remain out with a thigh problem.

Leno – Tete, Ream, Bassey, Robinson – Cairney, Palhinha – Iwobi, Pereira, Willian – Jimenez

Arsenal predicted lineup vs Fulham

For the first few months of the season, Arsenal supporters were bemoaning the signing of Kai Havertz but they were pining for the German on Thursday night as they watched their team lose at West Ham without him. The German is back from suspension for the trip to Craven Cottage but Tomiyasu, Vieira, Partey and Timber all remain unavailable due to injury. Arteta may consider a change up top, too, with none of the front three covering themselves in glory lately.

Raya – White, Gabriel, Saliba, Zinchenko – Rice, Havertz, Odegaard – Saka, Jesus, Trossard
