Liverpool vs Luton: Top free betting tips

Liverpool will take on Luton Town on Wednesday, 21 February in the Premier League with the Reds looking to extend their lead at the top of the table. The match is doubly important for the home side as it takes place just four days before their Carabao Cup final match against Chelsea so keeping players fit and ensuring momentum isn't lost are both key. Ahead of the match, check out our Liverpool vs Luton prediction below.

Match handicap prediction: Liverpool -1

Liverpool have bounced back very well from their loss against Arsenal and have hit their top form again in the matches since. They beat Burnley 3-1 at Anfield before beating Brentford 4-1 away from home. Although injuries are mounting up, the Reds look like a team on a mission and it's difficult to see them struggling against Luton on Wednesday. All six of Liverpool's most recent victories have been by a margin of 2+ goals and we expect that trend to continue at Anfield.

BTTS prediction: Yes

One thing you can guarantee ahead of Wednesday night is that Luton Town are going to turn up at Anfield and throw everything they've got at Liverpool. The Hatters have been involved in some classic matches against the Premier League's best teams this season and on Sunday, they went blow for blow with Manchester United despite going 2-0 down after seven minutes. With the bodies they commit to every attack, we are backing them to score on Wednesday, particularly with Alisson injured.

Correct score prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Luton

A punch-for-punch match is likely to ensue on Wednesday night and quite simply, Liverpool have far more quality than their opponents. They have still made a habit of conceding recently (one clean sheet in their last eight matches) which leans us towards Luton making a fist of it and getting on the scoresheet.

Liverpool vs Luton team news

Liverpool predicted lineup vs Luton

Jurgen Klopp was left frustrated at the weekend when he was forced to make three injury-related substitutions against Brentford. Curtis Jones went off with a shin injury while Diogo Jota departed on a stretcher with a knee problem. Darwin Nunez was also forced off at half time. All three players are expected to miss the match on Wednesday night as are Bajcetic, Matip, Thiago, Szoboszlai, Alexander-Arnold and Alisson. In better news, Mo Salah will make his first start for the club in six weeks.

Kelleher – Bradley, Van Dijk, Konate, Robertson – Endo, Gravenberch, Mac Allister – Salah, Gakpo, Diaz

Luton predicted lineup vs Liverpool

Luton gave it their all against Man Utd at the weekend but eventually fell just short. Rob Edwards will likely make a few changes to the eleven that faced the Reds particularly if Adebayo is passed fit after missing the United match with a hamstring problem. Three players who are definitely unavailable for Luton are Mads Andersen, Marvelous Nakamba and Tom Lockyer with the former two out injured and the latter still weighing up his future as a professional footballer after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Kaminski – Ogbene, Bell, Osho, Mengi, Doughty – Barkley, Lokonga – Townsend, Woodrow, Morris
