Newcastle vs Bournemouth: Top free betting tips
Newcastle are set to play Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday, 17 February with the Magpies looking more like their old selves once again. Eddie Howe's men defeated Nottingham Forest away from home last weekend still have an outside chance of finishing side inside the top four but they need to keep winning. Bournemouth, meanwhile, are enduring a string of poor results which has sent them back towards the drop zone. Check out our Newcastle vs Bournemouth prediction below.
Match result prediction: Newcastle to win
Newcastle are enjoying a good run of form at the moment, which has put them just five points behind last season's tally at the same stage. In their last six matches in all competitions, they have won four, drawn and lost one with their loss coming against Manchester City in the last minute. They are now firmly in the race of European football and with more players returning from injury we can't see anything other than a home win on Saturday.
Total goals prediction: Over 2.5 goals
Newcastle's return to form has coincided with more goals going in the back of the net. Even in matches where they haven't won recently (Luton and Man City) they still scored six goals. Eddie Howe has seemingly embraced the chaos rather than striving for control and it is working well so far. Bournemouth have also been involved in some high-scoring matches recently, albeit in losses. They lost 4-0 to Liverpool last month and 3-1 to Fulham last weekend.
Correct score prediction: Newcastle 3-1 Bournemouth
Bournemouth have been really poor recently and are currently on a five-match winless streak in the Premier League. They are currently comfortable in the league table but a couple of more defeats could put them back in the relegation battle. We expect them to suffer another here against a confident-again Newcastle outfit.
Newcastle vs Bournemouth team news
Newcastle predicted lineup vs Bournemouth
Newcastle are still without several first team players for the match against Bournemouth but Callum Wilson should be fit to start again after coming through his return against Nottingham Forest without any concerns. First choice striker, Alexander Isak, is still unavailable as are Nick Pope, Joelinton, Joe Willock and Matt Targett. A key decision for Eddie Howe will be who he plays at left back out of Dan Burn and Tino Livramento.
Dubravka – Tripper, Schar, Botman, Livramento – Guimaraes, Miley, Longstaff – Almiron, Wilson, Gordon
Bournemouth predicted lineup vs Newcastle
Bournemouth are another Premier League side who have significant injury problems. Andoni Iraola is set to be without five first-team players for the trip to the North East, including midfielder Tyler Adams and right-back, Max Aarons although the latter is back in light training as he steps up his rehabilitation. New signing, Enes Unai could make his first start for the club this weekend with Iraola likely to make some changes to provoke a reaction from his squad after a run of poor results and performances.
Neto – Smith, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kelly – Christie, Cook – Kluivert, Semenyo, Unai – Solanke
Newcastle vs Bournemouth: What the fans think
Newcastle fans don't want any more Dan Ashworth talks
Enough about Ashworth, we’ve got a massive game this weekend. Need to get back to winning ways at home. Bournemouth a tough game, but it’s one we should be winning if we play well. Need to be better than we were the last two weekends. #nufc

Bournemouth fans are happy to see Max Aarons back in training
Interesting to see a couple of photos of Max Aarons in what looked like training.
We haven’t heard much on his injury but this may show that he will be back very soon.
Max didn’t look himself before his 2nd injury but let’s hope he’s back to his best.
