Everton have submitted plans to the local council to build a new 52,000 capacity stadium. The new stadium will be located on the waterfront of the River Mersey at Bramley Moore Dock. As this is part of a World Heritage site, the Club have had to incorporate the existing dock buildings. Hence if you watch the video below, you can see that surprisingly there is a large amount of 'old-fashioned' brickwork on show around the exterior of the stadium. However, this should make it fairly unique in look, at least externally. The Club hope that if planning permission is granted that the Club will move into the new stadium in 2023. It is estimated that the stadium will cost around £500m to build.
