Swindon Double Chance

Swindon have made a solid start to the 2021/22 League Two campaign, claiming seven points from the first 12 on offer and following a confidence-building 1-0 win at Salford last weekend, The Robins will be targeting more success against Mansfield. The Stags meanwhile, have won only one of their last four matches in all competitions and their poor run makes in-form Swindon an interesting price in the double chance market on Saturday.

Both Teams to Score

BTTS bettors have found plenty of joy in games featuring Mansfield this term, indeed, four of The Stags’ five competitive fixtures since the summer have produced goals at both ends. Swindon have been consistent goal-scorers this season and they can notch again against Mansfield’s leaky defence, however, the visitors – who hit five goals in their last three outings – carry a degree of threat themselves, so back both teams to score at The County Ground.

Half Time Result: Draw

Swindon’s matches have generally started slowly this season before bursting into life after the interval and that pattern makes backing a draw in the half time result market a potentially profitable move this week. Four of The Robins’ five games in league and cup this term were level at the break and we’re tipping that sequence to continue on Saturday.

Swindon vs Mansfield: Match Preview

Ben Garner’s tenure with Swindon has had a somewhat tentative start, though The Robins 1-0 win at Salford provided their second League Two victory of the campaign and the triumph could prove to be a real self-belief charger ahead of the club’s upcoming tests. Town have been creating plenty of chances without adding the finishing touch, though you get the sense that the goals will start to flow more freely soon.

Renowned underachievers Mansfield have started brightly under new boss Nigel Clough with their seven-point haul a respectable return after four matches for the club that finished in the bottom half in each of the last two seasons. Mansfield have however, played four of their first five competitive contests at home and it will be interesting to see how they cope with the extra difficulty of an away game this weekend.
