Stevenage to Win
Second from bottom Walsall have made a rotten start to the League Two campaign, losing three and drawing one of their first four fixtures in the division, and with their confidence at a low ebb, Stevenage can take full advantage this weekend. Borough are among the early front runners in the league and with seven points already in the bank they can put their head of steam to good use at the Banks’s Stadium this weekend.
Both Teams to Score
While Walsall’s results have been subpar this term, they did at least manage to find the net in each of their first two home matches of the campaign. The Saddlers’ knack for notching on their own patch could allow them to net a consolation on Saturday and that in turn makes backing both teams to score a move worth pursuing.
Luke Norris to Score Anytime
Luke Norris is looking sharp and the Stevenage striker bagged his second goal of the season in Borough’s 1-1 draw with Port Vale last weekend. With his sights calibrated, the 28-year-old should be his team’s biggest danger man again at Walsall and Norris looks an excellent price to make his mark again.
Walsall vs Stevenage: Match Preview
Walsall
Matty Taylor is taking his first steps into the world of first-team management this season and the ex-Portsmouth star is finding the going tough so far. Walsall have yet to win a single game under their inexperienced new boss and only rock bottom Oldham have collected fewer points than the Saddlers since the summer.
Stevenage
If Stevenage are to be involved in the Playoff shakeup this season they will need to shake off their inconsistency, though they did recover well from their heavy defeat at Bradford with a useful draw with Port Vale in their last outing. Stevenage showed how formidable they can be with their early victories over Scunthorpe and Bristol Rovers, and they will need to produce a repeat performance to take the points this weekend.
