Wigan and Arsenal U21 face in the Quater-finals of this season's EFL Trophy. Both teams have been impressive to date and deserve to win this match.

Wigan vs Arsenal U21: Top Free Betting Tips

Wigan are the top team in League One this season and it is not surprising to see them progress this far in the EFL Trophy. Arsenal U21, however, surprised us all and continue pushing forward after a rather disappointing group stage, from which they qualified with a lot of luck.

Both Teams To Score – Yes

Wigan did not have too many goals in their games to date in the EFL Trophy but their overall performance in all tournaments this season has been incredible and we have no doubts that they will be motivated for this fixture against a youth formation. We expect at least two goals from them alone. Arsenal U21, on the other hand, have had some fascinating games. Four out of their five games in the EFL Trophy this season ended with more than 3 goals and 3/5 with more than four. The team concedes a lot but surprisingly scores even more. Perhaps Wigan's defense will be some challenges but we expect at least one goal from the visitors on Tuesday.

Match Result – Draw

Wigan are the big favorite here but we are going against them for this fixture. We expect Arsenal U21 to be extra motivated as well, especially after some impressive wins over teams like Ipswich. Two of their fixtures to date ended in draws at full time while Wigan also had two draws in the EFL Trophy. Wigan are the better team, of course, and they have been extraordinary in League One this year but we expect a surprise here and the match to be decided after the regular 90 minutes.

Team Total Goals – Wigan Over 1.5

As mentioned already, Arsenal U21 have been conceding a lot of goals. In five games this season, they conceded more than 1 goal on three occasions and we expect them to concede at least two against Wigan. At the same time, we have some belief that they will also net two goals, especially if Wigan do not come out with their best squad.
