Morocco vs Portugal: Top Free Betting Tips
Morocco took out Spain but Portugal seem like a stronger contender right now. Here are our predictions.
Total Goals Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals
Morocco had three games out of four with less than 2.5 goals – all three were against top opposition like Spain, Croatia, and Belgium. But let's be fair – Croatia were not good in the first match and Belgium and Spain played terrible football. We saw how good Portugal are against Switzerland and we expect a massive game once again here. Morocco will concede goals this time and it will not be pretty.
Match Result Prediction: Portugal to Win
It is true that Morocco took out Spain in the 1/8 finals but this game was pure luck in the end. Spain played the worst penalty shootout possible and took themselves out. Morocco did not show anything in 120 minutes of football, barely had attacks, and almost no chances to even create danger for the keeper. Portugal are a different animal than Spain and will score goals. We do not expect surprises here this time.
Correct Score Prediction: 0:3 to Portugal
We do not think that Portugal will concede a goal in this match. Morocco are capable of scoring but they only did so against weak defenses like the one of Belgium or Canada. Portugal are incredible defensively and the only way for Morocco to score will be with a counter attack. Otherwise, Portugal will be in full control and will not allow many mistakes.
Morocco vs Portugal: Form, Recent Games, and latest News
Morocco Preview
Morocco are one of the cool surprises of this tournament but we feel like their road will come to an end soon. They are a nice team with an incredible squad of young players but the football they have is not anything special. They are a counter-attack team but this can hardly work against a squad like Portugal's. Morocco showed nothing in attack against Spain and it will be much harder against Portugal.
Portugal Preview
Portugal had the worst experience qualifying for this World Cup but right now, they seem like one of the most likely contenders outside the top national teams. The only problem to date has been the poor form of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored a single goal to date. Even without him, Portugal have the most balanced squad of the entire group that remains in the 1/4 finals. True – the Brazilians are unbelievable but they are far better only in attack while Portugal are great defensively too.
