Best football fan videos this year: Chants, pitch invasions, heartwarming stories, protests, ultras, tifo and more

Been busy traversing the length of the country following your team? Not seen the best football fan videos from this season so far? Football Ground Guide have picked out the best of the bunch from the 2023/24 season so far.

The vibrant tapestry of football fandom gives us an incredible variation of videos, from the heartwarming to the absurd. Below you can find proper European roars, away end limbs, nonsensical scraps, biblical thunderstorms, pitch-invading dogs and an old woman's emotional tale of 70 years following her team.

We'll update this page throughout the season, but there's some cracking stuff below already, so dive in!

Brilliant football fan celebration videos

Look at this. It's the South Wales derby (Cardiff City vs Swansea City), you don't expect half-hearted celebrations. But this camera angle? That noise? Yes to it all.

This next video is from the SEVENTH tier of English football. On a Tuesday night! That's what makes the English game special and unique.

Have a listen to this celebration noise at San Siro. That's a proper European-style roar. Thankfully, the grand old stadium has been saved from demolition recently. AC Milan and Inter are still looking to move away, but San Siro will remain standing. Read more here.

Player interactions with football fans

James Maddison has won plenty of fans with his honest post-match interviews, and this was another great example of his interaction with fans.

Maddison's former-Leicester City teammate Jamie Vardy is another who can be relied upon to get involved with the supporters, and he wasted no time in doing so again this season.

Unique and heartwarming moments of fan culture

Let's begin with this Arsenal fan, Chelo Chinarro, who speaks about following her team for 70 years.

Have a look at these lovely photos by John Smith…

And how about this for a contrast? From an elderly woman collecting the bins in Wales to the Boca Juniors' ultras at an indoor basketball event!

On the subject of Boca Juniors, it's always great to see footballers engaging with fan culture, and that's exactly what former-Manchester United and PSG midfielder Ander Herrera did over summer. He went to see his old teammate Marcos Rojo in Buenos Aires, and got stuck in at La Bombanera while he was there.

And while in the Americas, let's take a journey up to Mexico where we've already had a classic of the old genre: dog interrupts football match. And you don't get it much better than this!

More dog-related football content? Sure.

It was set to be the hottest day of the year in Scunthorpe. Instead, their match against Buxton United was the victim of a biblical thunderstorm. Just look at it.

And for some truly heart-warming content to wrap up, here you go!
