Nottingham Forest Player of the Month to award fan with signed shirt

Neco Williams has been voted Nottingham Forest Player of the Month for February and will give away a signed shirt to thank supporters.

Forest Player of the Month to give away signed shirt

The right-back announced on his social media that he will give away a shirt signed by himself and the Forest squad to thank fans for their support in February.

Williams said on X (formerly Twitter): “Thank you reds. To show my appreciation I want to give away a top signed by myself and the players. A random person will be chosen from the comments.”

A consistent performer in a struggling side – Williams impresses in February

The Tricky Trees only won two out of seven games in February, including Saturday’s last minute defeat to Liverpool. However, Williams cemented his spot at right-back, starting all five Premier League matches.

Forest picked up their first Premier League clean sheet since November 5, 2023, when they beat West Ham on February 17, 2024, which was one of Williams’ best performances on Trentside since his move to the club in July 2022.

In a club statement announcing that Williams had won the award, Forest said: “Arguably his most impressive performance came in Forest's 2-0 home win over West Ham United, where he produced an all-action display down the right-hand side to help The Reds return to winning ways and keep a clean sheet.”

Williams picked up 39% of the total vote, beating the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Morgan Gibbs-White to the prize.

What’s next for Forest?

The East Midlands club sit 17th in the Premier League table, only four points above the relegation zone. They travel to Brighton on March 10, as Williams and his team mates look to pick up valuable points.
