Steel Park is a fairly open ground, with only stands on two sides and open spaces on the other two. The stadium opened in 2011 and retains that modern feel. It is located on the outskirts of Corby.

Normally, segregation is not enforced inside the stadium. If fans have to be segregated, then away fans are given the James Ashworth V.C. Terrace at one end of the ground, as well as a portion of the Main Stand seating (around 120 seats) and the flat standing area to one side.

Food on offer includes burgers, hot dogs, chips and pies, while alcohol and soft drinks are also served.

On one side of the stadium is the Peter Mallinger Foundation Stand. This small all-seated Main Stand sits astride the halfway line. Situated below its unusual curved roof are 12 rows of seating with a capacity of 557. It is free of supporting pillars, making this the area of the stadium with the best view of the pitch.

To either side of this stand are flat standing areas for spectators. Opposite is a largely open area which is overshadowed by the back of the adjacent Athletics Stadium Stand (which, incidentally, the club used as their home ground prior to Steel Park being built). Oddly, the team dressing rooms are situated inside this stand, meaning that the team dugouts are located out front.

At one end is the fair-sized James Ashworth VC Memorial Stand, which has a capacity of 1,575. This covered terrace was named after a local Corby man, who was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross after serving in Afghanistan. The opposite end is an open one, just having a flat standing area. On one side is a large building, which houses the Clubhouse bar.

There is a Social Club located inside the stadium, which welcomes visiting supporters. In terms of pubs, the following places are worth checking out:

  • The White Hart – High St, Corby NN17 1UX
  • Sondes Arms – Main St, Rockingham, Market Harborough LE16 8TG
  • Chequered Flag – Causeway Rd, Corby NN17 4DU
