Steel Park Stadium is a fairly open ground, only having stands on two sides. Opened in 2011 it is a modern stadium, located on the very outskirts of Corby. On one side of the stadium is the Peter Mallinger Foundation Stand. This small all seated Main Stand sits astride the half way line. Situated below its unusual curved roof, are 12 rows of seating with a capacity of 557. It is free of supporting pillars, meaning that fans get a clear view of the game. To either side of this stand are flat standing areas for spectators. Opposite is a largely open area which is overshadowed by the back of the adjacent Athletics Stadium Stand (which incidentally the Club used as their home ground prior to Steel Park being built). Oddly the team dressing rooms are situated inside this stand, meaning that the team dugouts are located out front. At one end is the fair sized James Ashworth VC Memorial Stand, which has a capacity of 1,575. This covered terrace was named after a local Corby man, who was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross, after serving in Afghanistan. The opposite end is an open one, just having a flat standing area. On one side is a large building, which houses the Clubhouse bar. Located inside the stadium, near to the main entrance is a Club Shop.

Corby Town currently plays in the Southern League South Division One Central (Step 8 of the English Football League Pyramid).

Normally segregation is not in force inside the stadium. If fans have to be segregated then away fans are given the James Ashworth V.C. Terrace at one end of the ground, as well as a portion of Main Stand seating (around 120 seats) and the flat standing area to one side. Food on offer includes; Cheese and Bacon Burger (£4), Cheeseburgers (£3.50), Burgers (£3), Bacon Rolls (£2.50), Chips (£2) and Curry Sauce (50p). The Club also offer ‘Burger Deals’ where for an additional £2 on the Burger price, chips and a choice of non-alcoholic drink are also included. Normally a relaxed and hassle free day out.

There is a Social Club located inside the stadium, which welcomes visiting supporters. The nearby Rockingham Forest Hotel also has a small bar, but this may not really be suitable for fans. Otherwise, the closest pub is the Samuel Lloyd, which is around a 10-15 minute walk away along Rockingham Road (turn right out of the stadium complex and at the small roundabout turn left). However, as this is a Wetherspoons pub it may well be worth the journey! Almost across the road from Wetherspoons is the Chequered Flag which is part of the Hungry Horse chain.

From The North
Leave the M1 at Junction 21 and take the towards A5460 towards Leicester. After a quarter of a mile leave the left hand slip road and join the A560 Leicester South ring road. Continue on the ring road until you reach the roundabout that is the junction with the A6. At this roundabout take the second exit towards Market Harborough. Follow the A6 for 21 miles until you reach a roundabout just before Market Harborough. At this roundabout take the first exit onto the A427 towards Corby, then at the next roundabout take the first exit towards Rockingham/Uppingham. At the next roundabout take the second exit onto the A6116 towards Corby. Then take the next right at the Rockingham Forest Hotel onto the Sports Complex. Steel Park is down on the right.

From the Midlands
At the end of the M6, just before it joins the M1, take the left hand filter land and join the A14 towards Kettering. After 22 miles leave the A14 at Junction 7 and take the A43 towards Kettering and Corby. Follow the A43 for three miles and then take the A6003 towards Corby. Stay on the A6003, crossing two roundabouts. At the third roundabout take the second exit onto the A6116 towards Corby. Then take the next right at the Rockingham Forest Hotel onto the Sports Complex. Steel Park is down on the right.

From the South
Leave the M1 at Junction 15 and take the A45 first towards Northampton and then on towards Wellingborough. Then take the A43 towards Kettering. On reaching the junction with the A14, take the first exit onto the A14 towards the Midlands. Leave the A14 at the next Junction (number 7) and take the A43 towards Kettering and Corby (then as from the Midlands above).

Car Parking
There is a fair sized car park outside the stadium which is free of charge.

Corby Railway Station is situated just over two miles away from Steel Park Stadium. It is served by trains from London St Pancras International. It can also be reached from the North from either Nottingham or Leicester and then changing trains at Kettering for Corby.

As you come out of the station entrance bear left and proceed up to the top of the station approach road. At the top of this road turn left (signposted Town Centre). Then take the next right onto the High Street passing the White Hart pub on the left. On reaching a mini roundabout bear left onto a road called ‘The Jamb’. Go straight along this road passing the Cardigan Arms pub on your left. Go straight across the next roundabout and up and over a railway bridge. You are now on Rockingham Road, off which the ground and sports complex is located. Continue on this road for around a mile and a half, crossing straight over five roundabouts and passing the Weetabix factory on your right. You will then pass an Aldi store on your right and at the next roundabout continue straight on towards Kettering/Rockingham. On reaching the Best Western Hotel, turn left just after it and Steel Park can be seen down on the right.

Alternatively you can catch a bus up to the ground. Stagecoach Service Number 3, operates regularly on Saturdays up to Shire Road, the stop for which is located by the stadium. The buses depart from George Road (Bus Stop F) in Corby Town Centre. View the Stagecoach Timetable (PDF document). For midweek matches the last bus departs Corby Town Centre at 18:25. However, there are no returning services available after the game has ended.
