Away fans who visit BMO Field in Toronto, Canada, usually occupy Section 208 in the upper east stand. Like most MLS stadiums, the away section can accommodate between 200 and 2,500.
For local derbies, away fans sometimes use sections 203, 204, 126 and 127, so you would expect a bigger number of fans on the away end.
Also, note that away fans are often directed to use Gates 1 and 2 as they are the closest to the away end.

BMO Field underwent a series of major renovations from 2014 to 2016, with an upper deck added to the east grandstand, a roof over the seating areas and a lengthened field all part of the upgrade.
2026 FIFA World Cup stadium
Most recently, the renovation that began in 2024 is still ongoing in readiness for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Phase One of the renovation will be done in August 2025, with Phase Two to be completed in December 2025 or March 2026.
The project, which is estimated to cost $146 million, is expected to increase the capacity of BMO Field by an additional 17,000 temporary seats ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Additional installations such as new LED videoboards, a centre-field lounger, and fans’ patio will further upgrade the stadium’s outlook.
BMO Field will host some six matches in the group stages of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The following are some of the popular Toronto F.C. that fans of the club often sing in both home and away matches.

Located at Exhibition Place in Toronto, BMO Field is Canada’s first-ever football-specific stadium and is home to the country’s first MLS club, Toronto FC. It also plays host to the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League, as well as staging music concerts. It cost $62.9m to build, and was funded by a public partnership between Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. and three levels of government. The naming rights are owned by the Bank of Montreal, commonly branded as BMO.
Since opening in 2007, BMO Field has hosted several major events, the first of which was the 2007 FIFA Under-20 World Cup. It has also become the home venue for Canada’s national rugby team, as well as hosting various lacrosse and hockey matches.
Tickets at BMO Field can be a little pricey, depending on where you sit or the match you attend.
However, for general admission, fans can pay as low as $3. Premium seats in the stadium, usually located near the pitch and behind the goal, can cost as much as $900.
For international tournaments, tickets at BMO Field often exceed the average of $36, as they can be as high as $50 for a single ticket in the general admission category.
It is worth mentioning that BMO Field is one of the US stadiums for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a tournament whose tickets will be higher compared to regular MLS matches.
Unfortunately, BMO Field is not among those hosting Club World Cup matches, so for ticketing information, check our comprehensive guide for the 2025 event.
