The Neuven Stadium has been the home of Radcliffe FC since 1970 and is a stadium heavily weighted towards standing areas. The ground’s capacity is 3,500, but there are only 350 seats installed, most of which can be found at one end of the stadium in the Lodge End Stand.

Many away fans enjoy a visit here as the entire ground is accessible throughout the 90 minutes, provided segregation is not in place. This makes it easy to make your way around the pitch to find an area that works for you and your group.

When segregation is in place, away fans are placed in the Fell End at one end of the stadium. The view from this terrace is fairly standard for non-league football – great when your team is attacking that end, but not so good when they are kicking the other way.

The staff at the Neuven Stadium do a good job of making all supporters feel welcome. Hot food and refreshments are available from the kiosks and vans outside the stands, while toilets are also available.

The best place to watch the action at the Neuven Stadium is in the Lodge End Stand at one end of the pitch. This is the only fully seated stand at the ground and has room for around 300 supporters. Not only will you get a seat in this stand, but you will also be protected from the elements.

There are two separate terraces on either side of the pitch. On the side of the dugouts is the Stainton Park Close Stand, while the clubhouse can be found next to the terrace on the opposite side.

Both of these terraces are ideal for supporters who want to get a good perspective on what is actually going on at pitch level, but neither one of them is particularly tall.

You will do well to find a pub in Radcliffe that has an issue with away supporters. In fact, most are more than welcoming. Some of the best pubs within walking distance of the stadium include:

  • The Unicorn – 351 Bolton Rd, Radcliffe, Manchester M26 3QQ, United Kingdom
  • The Horseshoe – 395 Fold Rd, Stoneclough, Radcliffe, Manchester M26 1FT, United Kingdom
  • Bridge Tavern – 6, 8 Blackburn St, Radcliffe, Manchester M26 1WW, United Kingdom

The food and drink at the Neuven Stadion is exactly what you’d expect from a non-league football ground. There are burger vans outside which offer the usual fare of burgers, hot dogs, and chips, while the clubhouse inside provides similar options, as well as somewhere to sit down and have a drink pre-match and at half-time.

If you would rather eat something more substantial before/after a match at the Neuven Stadium, then several restaurants in Radcliffe are worth visiting:

  • Istanbul Grill Restaurant – 123 Blackburn St, Radcliffe, Manchester M26 3WQ, United Kingdom
  • Italia Mia – 21 Stand Ln, Radcliffe, Manchester M26 1NW, United Kingdom
  • La Roma – Ringley Rd, Stoneclough, Radcliffe, Lancashire M26 1GT, United Kingdom

By car

Leave the M60 at Junction 17 and follow the signs for Whitefield and Bury until you get to the A65. Take this road to Radcliffe and turn right onto Unsworth Street. After around half a mile, you will see the Neuven Stadium on your left.

By public transport

Use the Manchester Metrolink to board a tram in the direction of Bury. Depart the tram at Radcliffe, which is the stop directly before Bury. From here, the Neuven Stadium is around a 20-minute walk away.

The Neuven Stadium has a capacity of 3,500. The stadium opened in 1970 with a slightly smaller capacity, with the most significant increase coming when the Fell End terrace was added in 2016.

The Neuven Stadium was originally known as Stainton Park and became the home of Radcliffe FC at the beginning of the 1969/70 season. Before moving there, the club played at Bright Street in Radcliffe, but redevelopment of that site forced a relocation.

Over the following decades, Stainton Park became closely associated with the rise of Radcliffe through the non-league pyramid. The ground witnessed promotions, cup runs, and some of the most successful periods in the club’s history. As football facilities evolved, the stadium was gradually upgraded with improved terracing, floodlights, community facilities, and all-weather pitches. Significant investment during the 2010s added new stands, hospitality areas, and a club shop.

In recent years, the stadium has been officially known as the Neuven Stadium through a naming-rights partnership with Neuven Procurement. Other clubs have also used the ground as a temporary home, including Bury AFC.
