Cymru Tyres Stadium

A normally relaxed and enjoyable visit. It is virtually unheard of for fans to be segregated at Richmond Park, but in the very rare event that they are then the open flat standing end, is given over to visiting supporters. Take a look at the unusual club shop inside the ground. Its exterior resembles a portable ‘ghetto blaster’ (do you remember them?).

There is a club house at the ground which welcomes away supporters. Otherwise, there are plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants in the town centre within 5-10 minutes walk of the ground. On King Street there is a Wetherspoons outlet called the Hen Dderwen, whilst on Queen Street there is the Queen’s Hotel, both of which are listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide.

By Car

From The East

Take the A48 towards Camarthen, then at the A40 take the third exit at the roundabout. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit into A484 Heol Llangynnwr. Follow the road over the river and past the Carmarthen County Council building leading into Priory Street. As you pass a church on the left hand side you will come to a mini roundabout, take the left turn around the church into St Peters Street, and then the next right turn will take you into the large council car park, which costs £3 (up to four hours). The ground is on the right hand side behind the bowling green. There is also a small pay and display car park (costing £1.30 per day), behind the ground on Priory Street.

From The West

Take the A40 towards Carmarthen. Continue over the first big riverside roundabout  and pass onto the A4242. Continue over the next roundabout then as you approach the town centre you will see a red dragon wire statue, continue over the roundabout then at the junction turn left into Priory Street. Then as East above.

By Bus

There are also a number of local and long distance bus routes serving the town, Arriva X40 TrawsCambria  Aberystwyth-Carmarthen-Cardiff 100  Swansea-Gwendraeth Valley-Swansea.

When you step off the bus go to your right (if you have headed towards the Red Dragon roundabout you are going in the wrong direction), follow the road way from the bus station. As the road bears round sharply to the left cross over the road and follow the Hall Street pedestrian pathway to the right. At the top of the hill you will see an old castle gatehouse and the statue of Nott, turn left into Maes Nott. Follow the road as it leads into Priory Street. Once alongside the church turn left into the large council owned car park and the main stand and entrance is on the right hand side behind the bowling green.

Alternatively, to reach the clubhouse side of the ground continue along Priory Street and take a left turn behind Denzil Evans garage, this leads to a small car park, training pitch and the club house entrance.

By Train

Carmarthen Railway Station is serviced by the long distance Arriva Trains Wales Milford Haven-Cardiff-Chester-Holyhead service. There is also a branch line from Pembroke Docks that terminates at Carmarthen via Tenby.

Turn right out of the station, left at the end of the road, going over the road bridge, up Castle Hill (castle on left), right into Spilman Street. After passing St Peter’s Church on the left, you are brought into Priory Street. To enter the ground, either turn left to go through the large car park on the right, or continue up Priory Street, entering the ground via the small car park and social club. Richmond Park was constructed back in 1952, with major renovations taking place in both 2003 and 2012.

Ahead of the 2017/18 season, it was announced that the stadium would have a new 3G all-weather pitch installed, joining a growing list of Welsh Premier League clubs to install such a pitch in the process.
