Everton have now been playing their home matches at the Hill Dickinson Stadium for four months, and while there have been next to no complaints about the fan experience at the stadium, a London-based architect has released designs for a proposed new fan park outside the stadium.

The stadium's setting of Bramley-Moore Dock is stunning, with the waterfront acting as the perfect backdrop to the club's state-of-the-art home. However, BACA architects believe there is scope for a floating fan park.

BACA architects release floating fan park concept art

Although there is no indication that the firm have been hired by Everton to design or build such a fan park, the group, who specialise in water-based projects, clearly believe there is scope for something special outside the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The designs, which look as if they are located at Nelson Dock, are described by the firm as a ‘flotilla of floating event spaces, all-weather enclosures, and immersive venues offering everything from live sports screenings to pre- and post-match entertainment.'

The images released depict a series of floating structures, all of which feature different leisure activities, including sporting challenges, bars, and restaurants.

The plans would ‘take fan experience to the next level'

Speaking about the plans, BACA founder Richard Coutts said:

“At Bramley Moore Dock, we’re taking fan experiences to the next level – literally. We call it ‘aquatecture’: a flotilla of floating spaces that make the most of the dock’s water.

“These floating spaces aren’t just cool – they’re clever. They can be built off-site, installed quickly, and be up and running in no time. Maybe in the water in less than a year.”

“Solid, durable, and flexible, they can be updated, repurposed, or moved as needed, making sure the fun doesn’t stop and leaving a legacy for the club and the city.”

FGG says: Let's calm down for a moment

The Hill Dickson Stadium build was only completed in the summer of 2025, and just a few months later, we have already had rumours of an expansion, and now, an architectural firm with no ties to the club have released concept art of floating pubs and restaurants. While this may be a consideration for the future, for now, let's just enjoy the new stadium and its stunning backdrop.
