A father and son duo from Argentina have embarked on a trip of a lifetime.
Daniel Ravilli and Tony Ravilli are riding their motorcycles from their home country to the United States to see their beloved national team compete at the 2026 World Cup.
However, the pair are travelling with no tickets.
From Córdoba to North America: A father and son chase their World Cup dream
Leaving their hometown of Córdoba in early March, Tony and Daniel travelled 9,000 miles across 13 countries before eventually reaching Kansas City, Missouri.
Originally, Daniel asked his son to join him on an ambitious 22,000-mile journey to Alaska before the idea shifted towards riding to North America to follow Lionel Messi and Argentina at the World Cup.
To fund the trip, the pair sold a car and dipped into their savings, with planning for the expedition beginning around five months before they set off.
The journey got off to a difficult start just three days in, when the pair became lost in the northern Argentine province of Jujuy, where riding into deep sand caused the clutch on their motorcycle to break.
Their 2020 Honda NC750X would go on to suffer two further breakdowns, both in Mexico, resulting in significant repair costs along the way.
After the initial setback, the pair were forced to rely on the help of a stranger, who led them to a local mechanic so they could get back on the road as quickly as possible.
Tony and Daniel later travelled to Colombia’s capital city, Bogotá, where they shipped their motorcycles by plane.
They then continued to the Caribbean city of Cartagena, where a seven-day boat journey took them to the mainland, allowing them to resume their route in Panama City.

By the end of May the Argentinian pair were in Tijuana, Mexico where they crossed the border into United States of America.
Incredibly, the duo made it to Kansas City for their opening match, where they witnessed Lionel Messi score his first ever World Cup hat trick as the reining champions secured a 3-0 victory over Algeria.
Tony is hoping to be at the MetLife Stadium for the final on July 19.
“I would like to end the trip in New York, whatever it may cost,” he said.
“Beyond the results, beyond everything else, it is one of the cities that has always captivated me the most.”
FGG Says: Once in a lifetime opportunity is worth it
Travelling to any World Cup is never easy, and the fact Tony and Daniel have made it to Kansas in one piece is a story they will never forget.
Despite spending thousands of dollars on repairs and being forced to change their plans on multiple occasions, they still managed to reach Argentina’s opening game and intend to continue their journey as the tournament progresses.
Lionel Scaloni's side are back in action later today in Dallas, where both Tony and Daniel already are.
