In what has been a divisive development among the fanbase, Arsenal have blocked a fan-funded tifo ahead of the Gunners' all-important Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, 29 April.
The fundraising process was led by the Arsenal ultras group ‘Ashburton Army', and a total of £12,000 was raised for the tifo over the course of a week.
A total of three designs were submitted to the club for approval, all of which appeared to be inspired by the popular Netflix show, Money Heist – likely mocking similar designs used by Real Madrid fans in the previous round.
An exact reason for the block from Arsenal remains unknown, however, the Ashburton Army have confirmed that all supporters who donated to the cause will be duly refunded.

Arsenal block Ashburton Army tifo
This was not the first time that the Ashburton Army were planning on creating a tifo to display at the Emirates, and previously, their endeavours had been well-received.
An exceptional tifo portraying Thierry Henry's famous solo goal at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2006 was unveiled in the home leg against Madrid in the quarter-final and was loved by all.
However, this time, the club were against the group's proposals.
Despite the setback, the Ashburton Army were keen to remind fans of the game's importance, saying: “We still need every single one of you on it, bringing the noise and backing the team like never before.”

FGG says: A divisive decision by Arsenal
While the exact reason for Arsenal's decision to block the fan-funded tifo project remains unknown, the news appears to have divided sections of the fanbase.
Some supporters were underwhelmed by the three proposed designs, and as such were relatively pleased to see the club block such tifos, while others were keen to express their anger towards the club for their decision.
In any case, it appears as though there will be no Ashburton Army tifo at the Emirates Stadium on matchday this time round.
