Arsenal supporters travelling to Budapest without match tickets have now received a major boost after UEFA confirmed the Champions League final will be screened live at the city's main fan park.

With thousands of supporters expected to descend on the Hungarian capital regardless of whether they secured stadium access, questions had been growing over where fans would be able to gather and watch the final together.

Budapest fan park key details for 2026 Champions League final

The Arsenal Supporters Trust has confirmed UEFA will show the Champions League final live at the official fan park in Budapest.

The screening will take place as part of the wider UEFA Champions Festival hosted at Heroes' Square (Hősök tere), with giant screens located along Andrassy ut next to the festival site.

Supporters have been advised to arrive from around 16:45pm local time, while public viewing access officially opens earlier in the afternoon.

UEFA says the Champions Festival will run across four days from Thursday 28th May until Sunday 31st May, and will feature football activities, entertainment, partner events and fan experiences throughout the city-centre location.

The festival itself is free to enter and open to supporters of both clubs, with organisers describing it as a neutral fan zone environment.

Food, drinks and family-friendly activities will also be available throughout the event.

The public screening announcement comes as welcome news for travelling supporters who may have missed out on final tickets but still intend to experience the atmosphere around the city.

FGG says: Exactly what ticketless Arsenal fans will want to hear

For Arsenal supporters making the journey without tickets, uncertainty around fan park arrangements can sometimes create anxiety before major finals.

So confirmation of a large public screening area in a central location feels like genuinely positive news for Gunners fans heading to Budapest.

Not everyone travelling to a Champions League final realistically expects to get inside the stadium, particularly with limited allocations and enormous demand.

For many supporters, simply being in the host city and sharing the experience with fellow fans still becomes a huge part of the occasion.

A well-organised fan park with live screening at least gives those supporters a proper focal point for the day, and potentially an atmosphere that could become memorable in its own right.
