How many away fans can the Monaco stadium accomodate?

Manchester City were given an allocation of just 998 tickets for the match against Monaco, and these tickets have all sold out. That was one of the smallest allocations that the club has received in Europe this season, as the Stade Louis II has a modest capacity of just 18,500, and typically allocates around 1,000 tickets for away fans.

As Monaco is such a stunning city and somewhere that is easy and cheap to get to from the United Kingdom, some travelling fans often just enjoy the city without tickets to watch the game.

Where will away fans sit at the Stade Louis II?

The away section at the Stade Louis II is located behind the southern goal, on the left-hand side of the Populaires Stand. The right-hand side of the stand is used by home supporters, which should make for a tasty atmosphere.

Although the stadium is small, the running track that wraps around the perimeter of the pitch means that the view from the away end is far from ideal, especially when the action is all at the opposite end. One positive is that there is no Perspex glass or netting in front of the away end at the Stade Louis II.
