Where to drink at Tottenham: Best pubs near Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Since moving to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2019, Spurs fans have regularly packed out their 62,850 home, even if things haven't always gone their way on the pitch.

While the stadium itself is a thing of beauty, a lot of matchgoing Tottenham fans don't enter it until the final moments before kick-off. The reason? Maximising the amount of time spent in the pub pre-match.

With that in mind, here are the best pubs near the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for both home and away supporters.

Best pubs for Spurs fans near Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

The football is the main attraction, but it's important not to let it dictate how good a day out you've had. After all, match results are entirely out of the hands of supporters, but how and where you spend your time in the build-up to kick-off isn't.

One of the best locations for doing so around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is The Bricklayers Arms, a Tottenham-themed pub that has been a fan favourite for many years.

That, however, is not the only option available to you, and our full list of the best pubs for home fans near the Tottenham stadium is as follows:

  • The Bricklayers Arms, 803 High Rd, London N17 8ER – four-minute walk to the stadium
  • No.8 Tottenham, 724-726 High Rd, London N17 0AG – two-minute walk to the stadium
  • The Coach and Horses, 862 High Rd, London N17 0EY – six-minute walk to the stadium
  • Antwerp Arms, 168-170 Church Rd, London N17 8AS – eight-minute walk to the stadium
  • Elbow Room, 503-505 High Rd, London N17 6QA – 17-minute walk to the stadium

It is worth noting that on matchday, many of these pubs will require a valid match ticket or Tottenham membership card to be presented before entry into the premises is granted. If you are an away supporter and happen to go on a day that isn't in force, then at least do the right thing and keep your head down.

Best pubs for away fans near the Tottenham stadium

Unfortunately, most of the pubs in the surrounding area operate a Tottenham-fans-only policy, and as such, there aren't many choices for away supporters.

The most notorious venue is Antwerp ArmsBoasting an exceptional range of lagers and ales and an array of large TV screens, it has been the number-one choice for most travelling fans for many years now and often hosts a combined crowd of both home and away supporters.

But, if it doesn't sound like the one for you, then our full list of the best pubs for away fans near the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is as follows:

  • Antwerp Arms, 168-170 Church Rd, London N17 8AS – eight-minute walk to the stadium
  • The Beehive Pub, Stoneleigh Rd., London N17 9JW – 18-minute walk to the stadium
  • The High Cross Pub – 350 High Rd, London N17 9HT- 23-minute walk to the stadium

Drinking inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Drinking at any Premier League venue is often seen as a last resort, as many offer a less-than-impressive range of beers and set extortionate prices for them. However, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is arguably an exception to that rule, offering a tremendous selection of drinks and doing so in a fabulous venue.

With choices scarce for travelling away fans, this may actually be the best option for them, but it is worth considering for home supporters all the same.

Not only does the ground boast the longest stadium bar in Europe but also houses a brewery within the facility. Their extensive drinks menu includes Beavertown's crafted beer, Heineken and Guinness.

Prices, of course, vary depending on your beer of choice, but you can expect a pint at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to set you back around £5.

Drinking away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

There aren't many people from London who would choose to drink in the areas that surround the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on any normal day, which begs the question, why would you bother on a matchday?

The ground is well connected by several nearby train stations, including White Hart Lane for overground users and Seven Sisters on the Victoria line for underground users. Therefore, drinking away from the stadium before making your way in around an hour before kick-off is more than a viable option.

The Seven Sisters underground station is located just one stop away from Finsbury Park on the Victoria line. This is an area rammed with pubs and restaurants. If you want to go further afield, then King's Cross is just three stops away from Seven Sisters.
