As top leagues approach their final few matchweeks, attention will soon turn to the upcoming World Cup in North America.
England will be one of the favourites to win the competition this summer, but in order to have the best chance, Thomas Tuchel's men will need to be as prepared as possible.
The Three Lions will need a top base of operations if they are to bring football home, as otherwise the playing squad could struggle to be at their best in crucial moments.
Here, Football Ground Guide takes you through where England will be staying in their bid to win the World Cup.
Where will England be based?
England will be staying in Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Missouri, located in the midwestern region of the United States.
Swope cost more than $20m to build and it has served as a training site for a number of teams since opening in 2007, including the United States' Men’s and Women’s National Teams, Mexico Women’s National Team, Uruguay Men’s National Team, Kansas City Current, AS Roma, CD Guadalajara and Club America, as well as Manchester United, Manchester City, Montpellier, Newcastle United and Stoke City.
In terms of training, the facility has six synthetic turf fields and three natural Bermuda grass fields. The size of the pitches should not be an issue seeing as they are 75 yards wide by 112 yards long, meaning the pitches are suitable for training groups of all sizes
Part of the reason why it is such an ideal location is that Tuchel's side will play their three group matches in Dallas, Boston and New York-New Jersey.
Minimal travel time will be important considering the prospect of fatigue is very real, and getting as much rest with as little travel time as possible will be key in what is sure to be a scorching summer.
Kansas City itself is no stranger to football, with the area dubbed the home of soccer in the US as it houses two football teams: MLS side Sporting Kansas City and NWSL club the Kansas City Current.
Kansas City has a rich sporting pedigree outside of football too, with NFL team Kansas City Chiefs well known across the country. The city also boasts baseball team the Kansas City Royals, and the area is sure to be welcoming to the Three Lions.
What can England expect in Kansas City?
Kansas City mayor Quinton Lucas offered an insight into what the playing squad can expect this summer in an interview with Sky Sports, insisting that the national team will feel at home in his sporting city.
Lucas said: “I'm thrilled to host England. I have been to England a few times, so I've gotten to know the passion of English fans, but I think I'll learn a lot more in this engagement. The choice of Swope was an inspired one for a few different reasons.
“First of all, the history of the park. When we brought the Kansas City Chiefs here, that was the first place that they practised and trained so it has had some history in American sports lore for a number of years.
“It is in the middle of a park, which makes it somewhat remote. You get some level of privacy, unless people take over every street possible and 50,000 fans converge on the space! In the park itself too, there's two golf courses nearby. You have swimming facilities and some other things in the area that allow for relaxation and other creature comforts.
“You end up getting a chance to really take over a whole part of our community on the southern edge of Kansas City and that is something that will be helpful for them. It is not in the middle of the busiest part of the city, it's not in the middle of any crowds or in the middle of a lot of distractions.”
The immediate area around Swope will not be too populated – something that may prove to be a positive considering Tuchel will want as few outside distractions as possible – but the local population will no doubt be excited to welcome one of the tournament's favourites.
