Everton make eye-catching upgrades to Hill Dickinson Stadium after recent supporter feedback

Everton have made notable design upgrades to the Hill Dickinson Stadium following feedback from supporters who wanted stronger club identity in the new venue.

The changes come less than a year after the stadium officially opened in February 2025, with the club actively trying to retain the connection they had at Goodison Park.

While the 52,000-seater has been praised as one of the finest modern football arenas, fans highlighted issues around the colour scheme, saying it lacked Everton’s traditional feel. Many felt the branding did not capture the spirit of the club’s heritage.

In response, Everton have added more royal blue detailing and enhanced visual branding across the stadium.

Sharing images of the new look on social media, the club wrote: “Adding more touches of royal blue to our home!”, a move warmly received by supporters.

When was the Hill Dickinson Stadium built and how much did it cost?

Construction on the Hill Dickinson Stadium began in August 2021, with the project officially completed in early 2025. The venue became Everton’s new home after nearly 130 years at Goodison Park.

The stadium reportedly cost around £760 million to build, including infrastructure work on the Bramley-Moore Dock site. Everton’s owners, backed by investment partners, described it as a long-term commitment to the club’s growth and future.

Designed to blend the city’s dockland heritage with modern architecture, the Hill Dickinson offers cutting-edge facilities and sustainability features, helping it rank among the Premier League’s most advanced grounds.

The Hill Dickinson Stadium set to host Euro 2028

The stadium has also been selected as one of the host venues for Euro 2028, marking a major milestone in Everton’s new era.

Ahead of the tournament, capacity is expected to increase to around 57,000, allowing it to stage high-profile international fixtures and showcase its world-class infrastructure.

FGG Says

Everton’s decision to listen to fan feedback so quickly shows how much they value their supporters’ voices. The added royal blue touch has reconnected the stadium with the club’s soul.

By aligning aesthetics with tradition, Everton are turning the Hill Dickinson into a true fortress.
