Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher agree one Old Trafford feature is the best in the Premier League

Old Trafford may have endured plenty of criticism in recent years, but Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher believe there is still one feature that stands above the rest of the Premier League.

The former defenders were asked about their experiences working at different grounds and quickly agreed that United's famous stadium has the league's best example.

Speaking on ‘The Overlap' podcast, Neville explained that he feels a sense of peace once he reaches a stadium gantry, describing it as a protected area from which he can simply watch the game.

He then asked Carragher whether he agreed that Old Trafford has the best gantry in the Premier League, with the former Liverpool defender immediately agreeing.

Neville praised the “old, classic” design at Old Trafford, where the gantry hangs over the pitch and provides an ideal position for watching and commentating on matches.

“Old Trafford's gantry is the old, classic hanging over the pitch. It's brilliant, it's brilliant, the gantry at Old Trafford,” Neville said.

The pair's comments provide an amusingly positive assessment of a stadium which has faced plenty of criticism over its condition in recent years.

Old Trafford might not be winning many stadium beauty contests these days, but apparently the gantry is still absolutely top of the league.

If nothing else, United fans can take a tiny victory from that.

With the roof, seats and wider stadium condition continuing to attract criticism, they'll happily take the small wins where they can get them.
