Everton is considering having the Everton women's team use Goodison Park once Bramley-Moore Dock is ready to open.
The news came from The Athletic, which suggested that the Everton Women's Super League side could move to Goodison Park in the future.
It would make Everton the first WSL side to move into the former home of their equivalent men's side. While Arsenal share their ground for around half the women's games, and Leicester share all home fixutres for both men and womens' sides. Everton would be a first, and would certainly be a big moment for the club.

Everton women could see Goodison Park become home
A potential relocation to Goodison Park represents a transformative opportunity for Everton Women. The historic stadium, known for its passionate atmosphere, not only offers a more accessible location but also a larger capacity, which could significantly enhance matchday experiences for both fans and players. With the move, the team could strengthen its connection with the community, fostering a deeper sense of loyalty among supporters.
Moreover, establishing Goodison Park as their permanent home would effectively elevate the club’s profile within the Women’s Super League, potentially attracting increased media coverage and sponsorship opportunities. This aligns seamlessly with the ambitions set forth by the club’s new owners, The Friedkin Group (TFG). They have expressed a strong commitment to investing in the women’s side of the organisation, aiming to promote growth and success on the field.
Currently, in the Women’s Super League, only Leicester City share the King Power Stadium between the men’s and women’s teams for all home matches.
However, Arsenal Women have taken a notable step by committing to play 11 fixtures at the Emirates Stadium during the current season, showcasing the potential for higher visibility and fan engagement.
Additionally, Brighton Women are set to gain their own dedicated stadium by the 2027/28 season, a plan that received approval in 2023. These developments highlight a growing trend towards providing women’s teams with appropriate facilities to foster their development and success in the sport.
FGG says: A big step forward for Everton's women
On the surface, it's an amazing idea for Everton's women's side to continue the legacy of Goodison Park. It keeps the stadium alive and ensures an iconic venue remains open. The one negative is, of course, that the women's team are not getting a new stadium themselves, but rather continuing the legacy of another ground.
As was mentioned above, both Leicester and Arsenal women's sides make use of the respective men's stadium.
