How much will a pint cost at Euro 2024? It might not be the question you're asking yourself ahead of the tournament but it will be for thousands of fans across Europe making their way over to Germany in the next week or two.
Germany is a nation well equipped to deal with large waves of football fans with football culture fully ingrained in all major German cities. Another big part of German culture is lager, which will go down well with many fans attending Euro 2024, particularly British supporters.
Your eyes do not deceive you. This is a German off license in Berlin. We've said it time and time again, the German's just do beer better 🇩🇪

Ahead of Euro 2024, fans in the United Kingdom have been warned by the Foreign Office about the strength of beer in Germany. In March, the government issued the following message: “Beer can be stronger than in the UK, so drink responsibly, know your limits and respect local laws. You may not be let into the stadium if you drink too much.”
At the time, the warning about German beer came as a bit of a shock to supporters.
While most people are aware of the cultural significance of beer in Germany, their pints (or steins) have never been known for being particularly strong. In fact, the average lager in Germany is only 0.3% stronger than lager in the UK.
How much will a pint cost at Euro 2024?
In many German pubs and bars, you will find lager served by pints and steins. Steins are one litre in size which means ordering a stein is nearly the equivalent of ordering two pints.
The price of pints in Germany during Euro 2024 will vary depending on whereabouts in Germany you are and where you choose to drink. Beer sold within official Euro 2024 fan zones and stadiums is going to be more expensive than beer sold in pubs around each host city.
On average, a pint in Germany currently costs around £4 (€4.70) which means pints this summer for travelling British fans will come at a cut-down price. The average cost of a pint in the UK is currently around £6 and one thing Brits love more than a pint is a bargain.
In the official Euro 2024 fan zones around the 12 host cities, Bitburger Pils will be sold for £4.20 (€5) so drinking in official venues won't cost too much, either.
UEFA to try and restrict alcohol consumption at Euro 2024
While there is little UEFA can do about alcohol consumption in surrounding pubs and bars, they are doing everything they can to limit the amount that can be drunk inside the stadiums.
The current rule state that fans will only be allowed to purchase a maximum of two beers at a time when at the stadium bars. Additionally, these drinks must be consumed in the concourses before fans can make their way to their seats.
This goes against the current rules at most German football stadiums for domestic matches where fans can drink from their seats. The rules are more in line what what British football fans are used to in stadiums at home.
