England enjoyed an excellent start to the 2026 World Cup as they beat Croatia 4-2 at AT&T Stadium, with captain Harry Kane bagging a brace and Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford also finding the back of the net.

For their second group game, Thomas Tuchel's side will take on Ghana at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

With that in mind, FootballGroundGuide provides a complete guide on the best ways to get to the Gillette Stadium.

Getting to Gillette Stadium by Car

The stadium is situated about 25 miles northeast of downtown Providence, Rhode Island, and roughly 29 miles southwest of downtown Boston.

From Boston: Take I-93 South (Southeast Expressway) to Exit 1, merging onto I-95 South toward Providence. Exit at 9 onto Route 1 South, then continue for about 3 miles. The stadium will be on the left.

From southern Connecticut or Rhode Island: Take I-95 North to I-495 North. Exit at 14A onto Route 1 North and continue for approximately 4 miles to the stadium.

From Maine or New Hampshire: Take I-128 South to I-95 South. Exit at 9 onto Route 1 South and follow it for about 3 miles.

From Cape Cod: Take I-495 North, then Exit 14A onto Route 1 North. Continue for around 4 miles to reach the stadium.

From northern Connecticut, Vermont, or upstate New York: Take I-90 East (Massachusetts Turnpike) to I-495 South. Exit at 14A onto Route 1 North and follow it for about 4 miles.

Car Parking at Gillette Stadium

Free parking is provided at Gillette Stadium for New England Revolution games, as well as other special events the stadium hosts. However, that is not the case for the World Cup, with fans needing to purchase official general parking passes.

A valid match ticket is required and all passes must be purchased ahead of time, with the price set to increase 24 hours before kick-off. As of writing, passes are available for $175 (£132). Accessible parking is also available for the same price.

Getting to Gillette Stadium by Train

Public transport is one of the best ways to reach the stadium, with the MBTA frequently running special train services for events held at the venue.

Via Train

The MBTA is running a special train service that will take fans directly to and from the stadium for every World Cup game.

  • Fans must purchase a Boston Stadium train ticket. They must be bought in advance and availability is limited.
  • 14 trains will run express between South Station in Boston and Foxboro Station, which is right next to the stadium. The journey will take around one hour.
  • There is no MBTA subway or bus service to the stadium and that is the only direct MBTA train service on World Cup matchdays.
  • Tickets cost $80 (£60) for the round trip and can also be used on all Commuter Rail services.

FGG Verdict: What is the best way to get to Gillette Stadium?

For England fans heading to Gillette Stadium for the game against Ghana, it is recommended that you travel by car/taxi or train.
