Aston Villa's Villa Park redevelopment continues to make visible progress as work accelerates ahead of the new Premier League season.
However, fresh aerial footage suggests one area of the project may not be ready for the opening weeks of the campaign.
Villa Park seating nearly complete but doubts remain
New drone footage has provided the latest look at the ongoing Villa Park expansion project, with significant progress visible across the construction site despite lingering questions over one section of the redevelopment.
The most striking feature remains the huge crane towering above the stadium, although it appeared inactive during filming after recently being used to lift a substantial roof section into place.
Nearby, a large section of the old roof has now been removed and is expected to be dismantled.
Groundworks also continue at pace, with extensive piling taking place around the site and numerous new foundations installed since the previous construction update.
Inside the stadium, the seating reconfiguration appears to be nearing completion, with both standard and premium seats now largely in place.
Despite that progress, the footage raises doubts over whether one section of the stand will be fully ready in time for the start of the 2026/27 season, with construction work still ongoing in that area.
Elsewhere, work on the playing surface continues to advance, while installation of a new large scoreboard is also underway as part of the wider stadium improvements.
Although there is still plenty to do, the latest images underline the pace at which Villa Park continues to evolve ahead of another important campaign for Aston Villa.

Major stadium redevelopments rarely run perfectly to schedule, and Villa's project is no exception.
While one small section may not be finished for their opening fixtures, the overall pace of construction remains encouraging, with several visible milestones now close to completion.
If the remaining work continues at its current rate, any short-term disruption should prove worthwhile for a redevelopment that will significantly enhance Villa Park for years to come.
