How many Liverpool fans are going to Girona?
As far as Champions League stadiums go, Girona's Estadi Montilivi is certainly on the smaller side – boasting a capacity of just 14,264.
Therefore, Liverpool have been handed an away ticket allocation of just 492 for this game, which is the smallest allocation of their campaign so far. In fact, the ground initially fell considerably short of European standards, and it was a long process for Estadi Montilivi to be approved by UEFA.
However, that number is, of course, the absolute minimum number of Reds that will be in the City on matchday. In reality, there will likely be thousands of Liverpool fans in Girona come kick-off, as supporters aim to soak up the local atmosphere.

As you may have guessed, the Girona away section is incredibly small in size and occupies a portion in the corner between the ground's Preferent and Gold Nord Stands.
It is just one tier, meaning that the 492 Reds will be packed in tight come kick-off.

Whether you will be attending the match in person or simply heading to the city to soak up the atmosphere, getting your hands on some good food and drink in the hours before kick-off is vital.
The local area surrounding the Estadi Montilivi is not blessed with an array of establishments in this regard, and as such, your best option will likely be to explore the various bars and pubs in the city centre.

The closest railway station to Estadi Montilivi is Girona Railway Station, but this is around 2.5km away from the ground – equating approximately to a 40-minute walk.
While this is certainly viable for most fans, there will of course be many supporters who either are unable to walk long distances or simply, would rather avoid the ordeal altogether.
If either of those two scenarios apply to you, then there is no need to panic. Bus services regularly run between the station and the stadium, approximately twice an hour, although this is of course subject to variation depending on delays/cancellations.
If you opt to take the bus, you will want to take the L8 service, alighting at the stop called UDG Montilivi. Once at this stage of your journey, a short five-minute walk will see you arrive at Estadi Montilivi.
