Manchester City have announced plans for another major addition to the Etihad Campus, submitting proposals for a new immersive entertainment venue as part of the ongoing redevelopment around the stadium.
The Premier League champions have applied for planning permission to construct the venue on the north-east corner of the Etihad Campus.
The project forms part of the wider Medlock Square development, which hopes to expand the entertainment area surrounding the Etihad Stadium.
If approved, the venue will host the global theatrical dining experience Mamma Mia! The Party, bringing the internationally recognised concept to Manchester for the first time.

Immersive venue planned for Etihad Campus
The proposed building would be three storeys high and is designed to complement the wider redevelopment currently taking place around the stadium, including the North Stand expansion and improvements across the surrounding campus.
Working in partnership with entertainment company Pophouse, Manchester City aim to create a unique dining and theatre experience capable of hosting around 600 guests per show.
The production blends live performances with themed hospitality to deliver a fully immersive entertainment experience.
The venue will also form part of the wider Medlock Square development, which includes plans for new food and drink outlets, a hotel, an expanded club shop and an interactive museum-style attraction.
The aim is to create a destination that remains active throughout the year rather than only on matchdays.
FGG says: Another major step in the Etihad transformation
It is clear to see why Manchester City have invested heavily in the development of the Etihad Campus in recent years, and the addition of an immersive entertainment venue would be another step in turning the area into a major destination.
Projects such as the North Stand expansion and the wider Medlock Square development show the club’s ambition to create a modern entertainment area around the stadium.
If these plans move forward, the Etihad Campus could soon become one of the most advanced sports and entertainment complexes in European football.
