Supporters visiting Molineux Stadium in 2026 should be aware of the venue’s strict entry policies, particularly regarding bags, prohibited items, and security checks.

Like other major football grounds in England, the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers enforces these measures to ensure fan safety while maintaining smooth access on matchdays.

FootballGroundGuide breaks down the bag rules, security procedures, and restricted items fans need to know before arriving.

What bags are allowed at Molineux Stadium?

Molineux operates a small-bag-only policy.

  • Bags larger than A4 size (29.7 cm x 21 cm) are not permitted inside the stadium.
  • Folding or half-full bags exceeding these dimensions will also be refused.

There is no luggage storage facility at Molineux, so fans are encouraged to travel light.

Molineux bag and security searches

All supporters will undergo security checks at the turnstiles before entering the stadium.

  • You may be asked to open your own bag for inspection.
  • Children under 14 are generally not searched unless a specific safety concern exists; in such cases, searches are conducted with the child’s permission and preferably with a parent or carer present.

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the stadium, including both the bowl and concourse areas.

Molineux rules on flags and banners

Fans may bring flags and banners, provided:

  • They are no larger than 150cm at the widest or longest section
  • Poles do not exceed 1m in length
  • Club permission is required for anything larger
  • Gangways, access routes, entrances, signage, and stairways must remain unobstructed
