Arsenal’s title charge has once again come under scrutiny this week.
But one opposition player has suggested the pressure inside the stadium may be playing a key role in the recent shift.
Tyler Adams reveals telling Emirates Stadium atmosphere during Arsenal title push
Tyler Adams has hinted that the atmosphere at Emirates Stadium may be contributing to the Gunners' growing “bottle” narrative.
The AFC Bournemouth midfielder admitted he sensed “nervousness” from the home crowd during his side’s 2-1 win in north London earlier this month.
Speaking about the experience, Adams explained how the Cherries squad actively looked to use that tension to their advantage.
“We knew it was probably going to be a little bit nervy,” he said. “If one thing goes wrong and the fans start getting anxious… we played into that.”
According to Adams, even when Arsenal started well, it only took “one little mistake” for the mood inside the stadium to shift.
From an opposition perspective, he described that change as “the best thing to hear”, with the atmosphere at times feeling closer to a neutral venue than a fortress.
He added that it can become a “difficult environment to thrive in” when players are chasing a title under that level of pressure.

FGG says: A sign of how much it means to Arsenal fans
It is easy to jump on the ‘bottling it' narrative, but this feels far more nuanced than that.
Arsenal are trying to win their first Premier League title in over two decades, so of course, the Emirates Stadium atmosphere is going to be tense.
Supporters know what is at stake, and that inevitably creates nerves when things are not going perfectly on the pitch.
If anything, Adams’ comments highlight just how fine the margins are at the top level.
That anxiety can quickly become a problem if it spreads to the players, but it is also a sign of how much this actually means to everyone inside the stadium.
