Rangers fans in Prague could be in tense conditions after the strained relations between the two clubs following their last meeting in 2021.
Back then, the Ibrox club travelled to Czechia with heightened tensions. Their player, Glen Kamara, had been allegedly racially abused by Ondrej Kudela just six months earlier, while the latter player was involved with Sparta's city rivals, Slavia. The clubs now hope for a “new chapter” as they meet again.
Rangers will be hoping for a first win on the road in Europe since beating Borussia Dortmund 4-2 in February 2022. They've lost their last seven away games in the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League.
