Rangers fans have broken a club record for the 2024/25 campaign after season ticket sales at Ibrox surpassed the 41,000 mark. The club announced that they had sold this number of season tickets in May, which is the quickest time that Rangers have ever broken the 41,000 barrier.
Last season, it wasn't until after the season ticket deadline that the club reached 41,000 sales but the club's progress under Philippe Clement has clearly convinced season ticket holders that renewing is a no-brainer. Rangers won the Scottish League Cup in the 2023/24 campaign but finished eight points behind their rivals Celtic in the Premiership.
Chief Executive praises Rangers fans
Ever since joining the club in October 2023, the motto of the club under Phillipe Clement has been ‘Everything From Everyone' and that message also applies to the fans. Clement's belief is that if everyone is giving 100% then positive results will come.
Rangers Chief Executive, James Bisgrove, has also bought into this ethos and has a good relationship with Rangers fans. Following the record season ticket sales, Bisgrove issued the following statement to the club's fans.
đź’™ #RangersFC supporters have once again shown their unwavering loyalty with season ticket renewals for 2024/25 reaching an incredible 41,000.
đź‘Ź Thank you for your incredible support.

“Having launched our season ticket campaign just over two weeks ago, it is extraordinary to have reached 41,000 renewals in record time. Preparations are already underway for the 2024/25 season, and we are extremely grateful to every single supporter who has renewed so far.
“Everyone at the club looks forward to welcoming supporters back to Ibrox next season for what is sure to be another exciting campaign on the pitch, under the guidance of Philippe Clement.”
Rangers play early home matches for 2024/25 season at Hampden Park
Rangers wanted to make improvements to the Copland Start over the summer, by adding 600 extra seats and improving the disabled facilities. However, the delayed arrival of materials meant that they had to find an alternative home venue for their first few home matches of the 2024/25 season.
Before the season began, they reached an agreement with the Scottish FA and SPFL to play at Hampden Park before the shipments finally arrived to conclude the project at Ibrox. The Gers have already played three matches at the national stadium against Motherwell, Dynamo Kyiv, and St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership, Champions League, and Scottish Cup, respectively.
They have one more home game before the international break in September, which will be played at Hampden Park. Chairman John Bennett is hopeful that they will play their next home league match against Hibernian after the international break at Ibrox, though.
He said (via The National): “When I think about timelines, clearly after the September international break. We can aspire for that to be at the end of September. It is an aspiration. It could slip beyond that. Our situation is that we have three consignments on three vessels making their way to Glasgow. Vessel number one has arrived – it is in Glasgow and we await two and three.
“With vessels two and three, I have been straining to get certainty and its the one thing we crave. I can’t give it and it’s an understatement to say that is frustrating. It’s more than that. With delivery number two, as things stand, subject to further slippage and it frustrates me to have to caveat it that way – is scheduled to arrive in Glasgow on the second week of August. Shipment number three is scheduled to arrive in the third week of August. That’s when we can get begin to think about timelines.”
