Swansea City are looking to acquire their stadium from Swansea Council, with the club submitting an official bid to purchase the ground.
The Swansea.com Stadium has been their home ground since 2005 and they signed a long-term lease agreement in 2018.

Swansea made the offer to buy the stadium following productive talks with the council and their proposal will now be considered by the council's cabinet.
If the deal goes through, the club believes it will help them increase income and attract external investment.
Swansea was bought by an American consortium in 2024 and the likes of rapper Snoop Dogg and Real Madrid legend Luka Modric have since joined the ownership group.
The details of the proposal are confidential at the moment, but negotiations have been aided by an independent valuation of the stadium that was carried out at the council's behest.

Swansea's chief executive Tom Gorringe said: “This is a highly significant moment for Swansea City as, after over two decades playing at the Swansea.com Stadium, we move towards taking outright ownership of the ground.
“I want to place on record our thanks and gratitude to the Council and their representatives for helping us to reach an agreement which is positive for all parties.
“Owning the Swansea.com Stadium is of major strategic benefit to the football club, and we look forward to completing the purchase in due course.”
FGG says: A real positive move for Swansea
Swansea will be looking to mount a promotion bid, having finished just nine points off the playoffs last season, and it will be a huge boost if they can finalise the purchase of the stadium before their Championship opener in August.
This deal should also provide a financial boost to Swansea, which can only be a positive for the Welsh side.
