Work is now clearly visible at Villa Park as Aston Villa’s long-awaited redevelopment project gets underway.
And the latest images show just how quickly things are now moving on site.
New images of North Stand redevelopment works emerge at Villa Park
Early construction activity is now underway at Villa Park, with visible changes to the North Stand already taking shape.
Images circulating online show that the north-east and north-west corners of the ground have begun to be stripped back, with existing structures removed ahead of the next phase of development.
This aligns with the club’s initial plans, which confirmed that these corner sections would be demolished first as part of preparatory works for the wider North Stand transformation.
The early-stage works are scheduled to be completed ahead of Aston Villa’s European clash with Bologna on April 16th, marking a key short-term milestone in the project timeline.
While much of the heavy construction is still to come, the removal of these sections signals that the redevelopment has officially moved from planning into visible progress.
FGG says: A big milestone for Villa Park redevelopment project
Seeing physical changes, even something as simple as corners being removed, makes the whole project begin to actually feel real.
It might look like early groundwork, but it is actually a significant milestone, asa these enabling works are what allow the main structure to follow.
The timing is also important, too – getting this phase done before a major European night keeps disruption minimal while maintaining momentum on the build.
From here, things should start to accelerate, and once steel starts going up, that’s when the transformation will really hit another level.
