Arsenal supporters played their part in creating a special Champions League atmosphere on a memorable night at the Emirates Stadium.

Hours before kick-off, thousands of fans lined the streets around the ground to welcome the team bus, before unveiling an eye-catching tifo display as the players emerged for the pivotal semi-final second leg clash with Atletico Madrid.

Arsenal fans created a memorable night at the Emirates Stadium

The build-up to the game felt huge long before the first whistle.

Supporters gathered outside the Emirates around two hours before kick-off, giving the Arsenal team bus a thunderous reception as it arrived at the stadium.

The scenes mirrored Atletico Madrid’s own pre-match welcome in the first leg, with flares, chants and packed streets helping generate a hostile atmosphere for the visitors.

Inside the ground, Gunners fans then unveiled a giant tifo opposite the dugouts featuring an Arsenal-themed boat alongside the words “Over Land and Sea,” which is a nod to the famous “We all follow the Arsenal” chant regularly sung by away supporters.

The atmosphere carried into the match itself, with Bukayo Saka’s first-half goal securing a 1-0 win on the night and sending Arsenal through to their first Champions League final in 20 years.

FGG says: Exactly the kind of European atmosphere Arsenal needed

This was a fanbase completely locked into the moment.

From the raucous bus welcome to the tifo and the relentless noise inside the ground, Arsenal supporters created the sort of occasion that genuinely elevates players on the biggest European nights.

Mikel Arteta recognised it straight away. His post‑match comments were full of appreciation for the energy, passion and belief pouring down from the stands.

For years, Arsenal were accused of lacking intensity at the Emirates on major European evenings. This was the total opposite. It was loud, emotional, and fully engaged from first whistle to last. It felt like a version of the Emirates we’ve never quite seen, or heard, before.
