Tens of thousands of Liverpool supporters made their feelings known inside Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

And their message to the club’s ownership was loud and unmistakable.

Liverpool fans send clear message to FSG over rising ticket prices

Liverpool fans staged a coordinated protest during their 3-1 win over Crystal Palace, directing chants at owners Fenway Sports Group over planned ticket price increases.

As part of the demonstration, around 75,000 yellow cards were distributed and held aloft in the 13th minute, symbolising the potential 13% rise in general admission prices across the next three seasons.

While the visual display made an impact, it was the chant echoing around Anfield that summed up the mood: “You greedy b*****ds, enough is enough.”

The protest was organised by several major supporter groups, who argue that committing to multi-year price rises removes accountability and places further strain on fans already dealing with rising living costs.

It follows previous actions, including boycotts of in-stadium spending, as frustration continues to grow among the match-going fanbase.

FGG says: A key moment that highlights growing fan-owner tension at Anfield

This isn’t just about price rises, it is more about what supporters feel it represents.

Liverpool fans have long prided themselves on the club’s identity and connection to the local community, and moves like this risk widening that gap.

The scale and coordination of the protest shows just how strongly many feel, and it’s another example of supporters pushing back against decisions they believe prioritise revenue over accessibility.

Whether it leads to change remains to be seen, but it’s clear the issue isn’t going away any time soon.
