Whether you’re a Brighton & Hove Albion supporter or part of the travelling away support, a matchday at the Amex Stadium is about more than just the football.

While the stadium itself sits outside the city centre, fans still have plenty of good options before and after games, ranging from traditional pubs and on-site food to central Brighton favourites that make a full day of it.

FootballGroundGuide takes a look at the best options to help save you time:

Best Pubs For Fans Near Amex Stadium

Located just a short walk from the stadium, The Swan is one of the most popular matchday pubs for home supporters. It offers a traditional pub atmosphere, a solid range of ales, and dependable pub food, making it ideal if you want to stay close to the ground.

Closer to Brighton Station, the Caxton Arms is a go-to for Albion fans travelling by train. Just a few hundred metres from the station, it shows live football on TV and is widely regarded as a proper home-fan pub, creating a lively Seagulls atmosphere before kick-off.

For travelling supporters, the safest and most familiar choices tend to be well-known chains in central Brighton, including Yates Brighton and Wetherspoons Brighton. They offer reasonably priced drinks and plenty of space, although they are a fair distance from the stadium and require a train or bus to Falmer.

Classic Matchday Food Spots Close to Amex Stadium

The Amex isn’t surrounded by a traditional high street, so most matchday food is either on-site or around Falmer Station.

Inside the stadium, Stadium Concourse Food is the most popular option. Fans rave about Piglets Pantry pies — including Steak & Harvey’s Ale, Chicken Balti, and vegan options — alongside sausage rolls, burgers, chips, and local beers like Harvey’s. It’s ideal for convenience and that classic matchday feel.

At Falmer Station kiosks, small vendors pop up on matchdays selling burgers, hot dogs, bacon rolls, and hot drinks. These are perfect if you want to grab something quick before heading through the turnstiles.

Restaurants and Cafes Near Amex Stadium

If you’re happy to eat before travelling to the ground, Brighton city centre has excellent options.

Along the seafront, The Regency Restaurant Brighton is an iconic spot for seafood, while Shelter Hall offers a food hall experience with multiple vendors under one roof. The New Club Brighton is another popular choice for American-style brunch and burgers.

In the North Laine area, about ten minutes from Brighton Station, fans will find favourites like Honest Burgers Brighton, MEATliquor Brighton, and Pompoko Brighton, all ideal if you want quality food without spending too much time sitting down.

Quick Fast Food Options By Amex Stadium

You won’t find many big chains right next to the stadium, but they’re easy to reach along Lewes Road via a ten-minute bus or train journey.

The Lewes Road fast-food cluster includes McDonald’s, KFC, Subway, Greggs, Domino’s, and Papa John’s. Burger King is also available at Brighton Marina, slightly further out.

These are best suited for fans eating before heading to Falmer or grabbing food after returning to the city.

FGG Verdict: Where Should You Go?

If you want to stay close to the action, The Swan and the stadium concourse food offer the best matchday experience near the Amex, with minimal travel and a strong home-fan atmosphere.

For away supporters or fans making a full day of it, central Brighton – particularly around Brighton Station, North Laine, and the seafront – provides far more choice for pubs and food, with easy rail access to Falmer.

For pure convenience, nothing beats grabbing a pie and a pint inside the Amex itself before kick-off in 2026.
