Ezri Konsa has been a revelation for Aston Villa since signing for the club in the summer of 2019, to the point now where he is considered one of England's most reliable players.
The central defender has had his fair share of injury problems over the years, but he is now at his peak, playing week in, week out in the Premier League and Europa League.
Konsa also has a brilliant relationship with the club's supporters, who have supported him from day one at Villa Park.
As a result, it should come as no surprise to learn that he has his very own Aston Villa chant. Keep reading to find out all the most important information on the chant, including the lyrics and tune.
Ezri Konsa chant, lyrics and tune
The Ezri Konsa chant is sung to the tune of ‘Rhythm is a Dancer' by Snap! The lyrics are as follows:
Rhythm is a Dancer,
Konsa is the answer,
Wins the ball from everywhere,
Wins it with his right foot,
Wins it with his left foot,
You should see him in the air,
Woahhh,
Ezri Konsa,
Woahhh,
You should see him in the air
Ezri Konsa chant background
The Ezri Konsa chant was only created quite recently after it dawned on Aston Villa fans that they hadn't yet created a chant for the player.
It isn't uncommon for defenders to go without football chants. After all, it is often the strikers and wingers who gain all the plaudits, while the defenders just go about their business quietly.
The tune used is a good one, and as far as we are aware, there aren't too many sets of supporters who use it. The first known iteration of this chant was sung by Man Utd fans for Anthony Elanga when he came through the ranks at Old Trafford.
The chant also shows how difficult it is to create lyrics for a chant about a defender. While with strikers you can sing about all the great goals they score, this chant is effectively just all about Konsa winning the ball at the back.

FGG says: Will this become a World Cup anthem?
We have seen in recent international tournaments that England fans aren't shy about using club chants for certain players, and given that Konsa is likely to play a big part at the upcoming 2026 World Cup, there is every chance that this is a chant we hear regularly in the USA, Canada and Mexico in the summer.
