Supporters who visit Volkswagen Arena, the home ground for Wolfsburg, are accommodated at the south-east corner of the stadium. This area is separated from the home section by a fence and is often heavily guarded when Die Wolfe clash with bitter rivals such as Hannover 96 or Eintracht Braunschweig.

The designated blocks are 29, 23 and 35 in the lower tier. Additionally, standing zones for visiting fans are block 36. These can be accessed through the south-east and south entrances to Volkswagen Arena.

Notably, a total of 2,086 supporters of visiting teams can be accommodated in the away end, 900 in the standing zones and up to 1,886 seated.

Away fans are allowed to carry small flags of up to two metres, fence flags, double-holder poles, drums and megaphones. However, these are subject to inspection at entry points to ensure safety.

Most importantly, away supporters are prohibited from mixing with home fans and heavily intoxicated fans may be denied entry to Volkswagen Arena.

The Volkswagen Arena is one of the most technologically advanced stadiums in Germany and Europe. There are different options available to access the Volkswagen Arena by car.

By car

You can take the A2 if they are coming from Potsdam or Hanover. They need to take exit 58, which will lead to the A39. Now, exit 3 should be used before using the ramp that leads to L322.

For those coming from Kassel, the option will be the A7. Exit 64 has to be used to reach the A39. From there, the directions are similar to the ones used while proceeding from the A2.

Where to park your car near the Volkswagen Arena

There are just over 5500 parking spaces available at the Kästorf P&R car park and the Allerpark car park. A free shuttle bus will also take fans from these parking spots. For those who have a VIP ticket, there are a dedicated 1100 parking spots just outside the Wolfsburg Stadium.

By train or metro

The Wolfsburg ground is close to the city centre, and this makes it easy to access from the train station. One can reach the Wolfsburg main station from different parts of Europe thanks to its excellent connectivity.

From there, it is only a short walk to reach the ground. Easy accessibility and convenience make the train the preferred option to reach the Volkswagen Arena on a matchday. A season ticket will be accepted as a ticket for travelling on the train four hours before the game begins.

By bus

The buses are also an excellent choice, and it is run on a special basis even after the conclusion of games. There are also special buses for fans from certain areas like Gifhorn and Brome.

Wolfsburg provide access to the Volkswagen Arena through stadium tours that allow fans to visit the press room, VIP areas, dugouts, and more.

The tours usually take around 90 minutes and happen every day of the year, from Tuesday to Friday. The tours are priced at €7 for adults, while a concessional ticket is available for €5.

On 25 August 2025, Volkswagen Arena hosted Bayern Munich for a Bundesliga clash. A total of 30,000 fans attended the game.

There are several facilities for disabled fans at Volkswagen Arena.  There are up to 80 spaces for wheelchairs at Volkswagen Arena. Disabled supporters are allowed to have a companion.

Note that wheelchair spaces at the stadium are located near washrooms for easy access.

Wolfsburg supporters can buy tickets online or at the stadium. The prices for the ticket are comparatively cheap compared to other leagues in Europe.

The cheapest ticket available would be around €19 and this would provide a seat just behind the goal. A place in the main grandstand could end up costing around €45, while the terrace seat will be at around €12. The matches are divided into several pricing categories, but many of them would fall under the level 3 category, which is the cheapest.
